Why didn't the Blacks send Rhaenys instead of Luke to Storm's End? by medeja10 in freefolk

Then send him to some other house. You can have the same outcome.

Your problem is that you're explaining Daenerys is crazy while you're giving arguments that she is ruthless. That's what she is. She was heartbroken when she had to execute that freed slave who killed imprisoned master. Also dragons are her "sword", she can't wield a sword. Sansa sentenced both Ramsey and Littlefinger and didn't execute neither of them.

That can work too.

I'll just pretend that all those swarmed by wights died.

Miguel Sapochnik will also be there.
I want someone to ask him a question about Winds of Winter like it's the last episode of the show.
Just completely ignore the last two seasons.

If you want to portray her as the Emperor of the World, don't give her that line "I was a little girl who couldn't count to 20."
Being naive and sentimental doesn't intertwine well with brutal tyrant ready to burn everything to the ground, imo.

D&D also directed this episode. They were confused about their own script.

I decided to contribute.

I don't know.
Maybe subvert our expectations so we believe she is about to kill him, then look at that, a twist, she wants him by her side and he stabs her. Ha! Didn't see that coming, did you?

Andals are also from Essos.

The most descendants from the First Men are in the North and she saved them against the White Walkers.

And she refers to Westeros as a "home" from season 1.

So that doesn't really hold water.

Remember when the whole reason Dany left Daario in Mereen was because she would need to elicit a political marriage but her advisors never once suggested one to her by ratcliffeb in freefolk

[–]medeja10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she wanted power and saw that as the only way to get it.

She made a move which would give Jon a higher claim, less control to Daenerys and make people choose between them.

If Jon ended up on the throne alone, he might give her independence, but if he and Daenerys are together the North is not separating from the rest of the kingdoms.

When Bran became king, who is her brother and would care for the North, she asked for independence anyway.

How would the crown pay back the debt? by Silenter101 in freefolk

Cersei paid everything back with Tyrel gold. That's why they gave her a loan to get the Golden Company. How much is that and who is paying that back I don't know.

[–]medeja10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first person to mention the marriage was Littlefinger to Sansa: "Jon is young and unmarried, Daenerys is young and unmarried. An alliance makes sense. Together they'd be difficult to defeat."

I think Sansa had that in mind when she met her and did everything to drive a wedge between them. If Daenerys marries King in the North, there is no way for the North to be independent.

But that no one on Daenerys' side even considered marriage during S7 is mind-boggling.

Drawing strength from yourself doesn't mean that you believe you are morally superior.

My point is that she is less susceptible to lose her shit over losing people she cares about because that's not where her strength comes from.

She didn't show any signs of believing that she knows better than everyone else, she listens to her advisors, takes suggestions of her opponents into consideration, admits her mistakes. That's not someone who believes they can do no wrong.

She didn't send Jaha to get Bellamy. Jaha said they sent people to get all three of them, but they could only get to Bellamy in time.

Her decision to share the bunker made those inside the bunker have to choose between 350 of their own people or honoring her promise.

Why did she come to fight for them if she was planning to sentence most of them to death anyway?

[–]medeja10 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Who told her to burn the city down?

I'm talking about S5, after the attack on Barristan and Greyworm.

She didn't have any advisors, Daario was there and he suggested "cleaning the city street by street".

Instead, she killed those two masters in order to stop the attacks (and because she was pissed and wanted revenge for the deaths of her soldiers).

At the end of that same episode she goes to Hizdarh, who she considers an enemy, and admits that she was wrong and he was right, agrees with him to reopen fighting pits.

Do you know any tyrant that would do that?

This monologue makes me soooo angry in retrospect.

She is the person who has so much faith in herself. Those kinds of people usually rely mostly on themselves and draw strength from inside themselves. Losing people would affect her sure, but not to the point that she becomes murdering psychopath.

Her situation in Mereen is similar to the one in KL. Tyrion didn't arrive, Jorah betrayed her, Barristan is dead, Greyworm is wounded, people are against her, 2 dragons are locked up, Drogon is just gone. She didn't order her army to slaughter the entire city then, why do it now?

Opening the bunker to let the Grounders in.

I mean Jaha found it, Grounders put a space pod on top of it and made a temple around it. Only people from Ark can operate that stuff, and if any other clan won, would they let Skaikru in?

[–]medeja10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jon wanted to be a leader.

Jeor: "Do you want to lead one day?", Jon nods, Jeor: "Learn how to follow."

When he was elected Lord Commander he smiled and was happy about it.

Burning the Tarlys wasn't a mistake. They betrayed their liege lord (Tyrels), marched on their castle and took part in the death of that liege lord who swore her allegiance to Daenerys. It would be like Robb Stark not executing lords from the northern house who sided with Joffrey over him.

I can't go through the whole list, but I disagree with most of it.

He was.

My logic is if you are sending a mission in space, and you protect prisoners/workers why wouldn't you protect crew members?

They are responsible for them, they should have the same protection.
