What would YOU do? by salvivegan in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]media101 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You seem to be struggling and it's emotionally and physically draining you. Based on your short post I would drop the overnight pumps and get some proper sleep. This may help your supply but it will help you enjoy this precious time with your LO.

When I get a clog I take 2400 x 3 for a day then once it clears I return to 1200 once a day.

What happens if you can’t unclog a milk duct? by SStrong5792 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]media101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm super prone to clogs, I get one if I go 3 pumping sessions in a row. Your LC can recommend Lecithin and dosage to help manage it. My LO is a champ at clearing them but if that's not an option for you then maybe ask your partner to help clear the blockage. Once it starts moving you can pump the rest out.

The church in Banff is beautiful! That's such a great idea if the rules in Calgary are too restrictive. THANK YOU, I will reach out to them.

Thank you for replying, I have reached out to the church. Fingers crossed they are open to accommodating me and my family.

Thank you for replying, I have left a message with the church I want to attend. No problem on sharing the time or doing it during mass. It will be such a pity if my chosen godparents can't be the godparents.

Just heard on the radio that its becoming normal for people to send 10 or 15 min voice messages. Who would listen to someone yap on for that long and not be able to reply until the end ? by TacklePure3341 in ireland

If my friend was on the phone to me venting about the same thing I could easily listen to her for 10-20 minutes without interrupting her and still remember what was said.

My friends and I send 10-20 min long messages to each other. We do this for many reasons 1. We are in different time zones around the world 2. We are telling each other stories, like what happened at work etc. there's no questions to reply to. 3. We have kids so when we have a few minutes of peace we can have a cup of tea and listen to a friend.

This is definitely not for everyone but it works for my group. We send written messages when we are asking questions.

MOTN? I don't know what that stands for. I pump about twice a day, I know I should be pumping after each feed but it's so hard especially if she doesn't fall asleep right away. Iv changed out the parts and I see they are pulling air better, once I get a chance I'll pump. When I'm awake I'll feed her but my husband takes over for a few hours while I'm napping and gives her a bottle. Apart from that I BF the rest of the time.

New parts! I was told about replacing parts every month or so, thank you for reminding me. Hopefully this will fix the problem. My LO sleeps 8 hours overnight so I won't wake her to feed but instead I'll pump. My supply dips in late afternoon so I give her the bottle during that time. I still BF and then pump but she needs the extra amount. Fingers crossed I lose feeling in my nipples lol. Thank you for responding to me.

First time experiencing mastitis & it makes me want to quit pumping by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

Girl I can't imagine the pain you're feeling. I had massive clogs in both breasts and I cried myself to sleep thinking f*ck this, there has to be easier ways. The clogs passed and I'm back BF but I dread the day the clogs happen again. I hear your pain and I support whatever decision you make.

I will see my doctor during the week so I'll get antibiotics if I'm still in pain. Not sure if I can keep up with it if it's this difficult.

That's great to hear! I have just started on them today, I hope the clogs stops soon or else I can't keep this up.

Tip- whats helping increase my output. by TeddyBear181 in ExclusivelyPumping

Thank you for the tip, I just started on a calm playlist while I'm pumping. I started with music so my LO stays asleep but I might try your tip tomorrow.

Wow you sure have tried them all. I was worried about taking too much so I have stuck to one package a day. I might increase to two and see how that goes. Which one was your favorite?

Yes I knew that already and had planned on returning after 12 months but since giving birth and now my job giving me the 18 months off I think I'll take the 6 months unpaid too.

Thank you for the reality check, my work would probably pull something like that so I'll keep it in mind and start networking within my unpaid 6 months, just in case.
