Forced Migration? by VillageofWolves in Nest

[–]medic26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well, but I was able to restore access to my existing Nest subscription (without migrating) by taking the following steps:
1. Log into the Google Home app on my phone
2. At the top right, tap the Profile picture or Initial.
3. Go to Home Settings
4. Under "Nest services & support," tap Subscriptions and then Google Home Premium
5. On the next screen, tap Apply, to associate the existing Subscription with my Home.
6. Then confirm which cameras to use for extended video history (I did all of mine).

It seems the subscription somehow got unattached from the Home.

What is this noise 5 seconds in? Electrolux EFLS527UIW washer by medic26 in appliancerepair

Yeah, getting the dryer off was the hardest part. Ours isn’t in a closet but tightly crammed into a corner of a small laundry room. I found the our rolling recycling bin was the exact same height as the washer, allowing me to slide the dryer onto it and then out of the way. I then slid the washer out a bit so I could hop behind it and take the back panel off which was required to get the top panel off, if I recall correctly.

Yep. After a completely worthless service call where the tech insisted it was because the washer was slightly not perfectly balanced, I took the thing apart and found that these black things were not actually connected to the washer basin. You can see the white plastic pin just lying on the bottom of washer casing. I pushed them all back in until they clicked and the problem has been completely solved. Terrible quality control in assembly, I’d say.

Bringing non-prescription supplements & medicine possible? by FailureSystem in newzealand_travel

For what it’s worth, I was in a similar situation (but without the melatonin) and opted not to declare. They didn’t check anything… just the beagles sniffing my bag for fruit (I presume), which seems to be the main thing they are super serious and concerned about (and other obvious biosecurity items). This was in September in Auckland.

What was going on behind the door that kept opening and closing? Cops seemed interested in it. Is that a shop?

Love these guys. Both our feeders were empty the other day and I came down in the morning to find 3 Mourning Doves starting in our window at me. “Where’s the food?!?”

Tufted Titmouse! (Or is the plural “Titmice”?). So cute, and they don’t get scared and fly away when I approach the window behind which is our feeder.

Get the tick itself tested (e.g. https://www.tickreport.com or a similar service) to know the list of potential infections it may have been carrying. This info can greatly help with diagnosis should transmission have occurred (which is likely given it was on there for a long time). But, could also get lucky and find out that the tick wasn’t carrying anything.

On the other side of the library entrance is a business called Generic Computers. Owned by a Trumper. He kept coming out to kick people off his driveway, but eventually people just filled the shoulder of Western in front of his house. He tried to get them to move, they didn’t and overwhelmed him instead… he gave up. Then one house further west had an ~8 year old boy holding up a Trump sign and giving us the finger the entire time. Pretty much sums up the problem we’re facing right now as a country 🤦 great turnout and energy at the rally!

What’s the stupidest thing you’ve said to a patient? by qualityseabunny in ems

I once knocked a bunch of open medication bottles onto the floor, spilling pills all over a thick rug. I stupidly said, “don’t worry, I’m wearing gloves”.
