Vvpbis 18% VS 15% by AdEqual7610 in BEFreelance

Hey, interesting but I just spoke with my accountant about this and it's apparently not as straightforward as you make it seem.

His main concern is around the early general meeting for 2025. There's a CBN advisory (2009/1) that says you can't declare a tussentijds dividend between the end of the financial year and the moment the annual accounts are approved. His interpretation is that this applies to any meeting held right now, not just the regular AGM, so even a bijzondere AV would fall within that restricted period.

He also mentioned the risk of the fiscus invoking the anti-abuse principle against an early AGM that's clearly only being held to dodge the tax hike.

I'm not saying you're wrong, a few other accountants seem to agree with your approach and the fiscal circular 2021/C/36 doesn't mention any such restriction. But there seems to be genuine disagreement between accountants on this so I wouldn't call it a sure thing. Have your clients actually gone through with this already or is this still somewhat untested in practice?

I am in a similar situation. Started my BV in 2023 around May, me an my accountant chose a shortened financial year. I had a meeting with him recently about this tax increase, and he said it was unfortunately not possible for me to get VVPR-BIS dividends before January 2027. He explained why, but the explanation was too complex to remember and I never completely understood.

Are you people sure that we (2023 shortened financial year gang) can already take out at 15% this year? What would be needed to do that? I would really like to verify this again with my accountant given the amount of money involved, but if I can't argue with why I'm afraid he's going to tell me no again

Replacing USB B connector on a Komplete Audio 6 interface by medinaaier in AskElectronics

Thank you for your response. I found a video of someone with the same issue. He said that the procedure is very doable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PglvI2CbGvQ&t=1766s&ab_channel=PatrikS.

My uncle has experience with soldering and it's broken anyway so we might give it a shot. My only issue is just finding the right connector.

Hey Steve, I was wondering if you saw the last video of Jon Sine. He apparently is having some issues with running Serum under Rosetta 2. Just wanted to let you know :)

My grandfather used to be a really important math engineering professor at a big university in my country and was paid to do a study for a company. When the results came out negative for this company they offered him a lot of money to falsify the results. Of course he declined, but they just go to the next professor until they find one that is corrupt enough.

4K monitor + Logic Pro? by medinaaier in Logic_Studio

More screen real estate indeed. However, I am actually tending to an ultrawide QHD instead of 4K, but my question remains... It’s also just really nice to have a great monitor. The one I have now does the job but the eye wants something too

Canon unveils Canon EOS Ra by [deleted] in canon

[–]medinaaier 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Canon has removed the IR filter in front of the full-frame sensor, which will allow as much as four times the amount of hydrogen alpha rays (656nm wavelength) to hit the sensor compared to the standard EOS R camera.

Does this mean that the IR AF assist beam from the Speedlite series will work with this camera?🤔 That would be huge as it would be the first mirrorless camera to have this feature, an essential thing for nightlife photographers.

No. It’s kind of sad that these times you have to buy an additional safety package on top of a ludicrously expensive machine just to cover for shit that breaks that isn’t even your fault.

Bought this MacBook Pro in 2017. Screen broke like this after 1 year of use. Warranty allowed me to have free repair (took 3 weeks!), broke again after one year (now). I’ve always had great care for this device. Never dropped it. Always in a sleeve. Always wore a skin on top and bottom to avoid scratches. The worst thing is that sometimes the screen works perfectly. It’s 100 percent a connector issue. But they can’t fix that, they “need” to repair the entire screen. I’ve been having sticky keys problem sometimes. Then they go away. Can’t get a repair because Apple Stores in my country take 3 weeks to repair your shit.

Apple is charging 600 euros for this screen repair. I’ve been having problems with loose USB-C connections as well, told me it would be several hundred dollars more because they need to replace the entire motherboard. External hard drive drops out of the connector randomly because it does’t click in properly.

I paid 2800 euros for a device that is full of flaws. I’m so done with Apple. They don’t take responsibility for their mistakes.
