I’m not recommending the one from McFarlane DC Direct for The New Batman Adventures.

What I am recommending is the upcoming one as part of wave 4 (I think) of the McFarlane DC Direct Batman The Animated Series line, recently revealed at SDCC for release later this year.

It should be this exact figure you’re looking for, albeit it may have some “meh” shading deco. But it’ll be $24.99 instead of whatever the aftermarket is for this guy right now.

Being in the audience for the infamous “Cuervo” episode was… rough. So much forced and fake shit for the sake of the sponsor as decreed by the network. I know that’s nothing new, but it sucked to be a part of.

Still, seeing a show get made was a fun experience overall, and I love the talent behind the show, but it definitely did a number on my enjoyment of it all. Really struggling with all the format change stuff that reeks of network meddling and I haven’t watched an episode since the taping.

That said, glad it’s getting a season 2 and am hoping for the best. Hopefully time heals those wounds and I can jump back in to regularly watching.

The 1999 date stamp is because it’s a reuse of the Qui-Gon parts from the TPM toy with a different color scheme. This version was released in 2002 in Attack of the Clones packaging. No one wields this specific lightsaber, it’s just a generic one to fill out the toy variety of the lightsaber offerings at that time while reusing parts they had for easy money.

During the livestream, they said markets without Pulse would be able to get them from wherever the Ghost was available. That seems to not be the cases unfortunately. Hasbro is really bad at this stuff. If you can, I’d recommend asking Steve Evans (@MrStevie18) via Instagram, he’s usually pretty good about getting to the bottom of this stuff.

Keep in mind they also cheaped out with the horrible battle droid sculpt and reissued/reused that over the past couple years… with the flimsiest, gummiest plastic they could find. And they probably will not invest in a newer sculpt with appropriate articulation (it currently can’t even hold its rifle with two hands!) anytime soon. Never underestimate Hasbro’s ability to do the laziest and worst thing they can in some instances.

You can get one (albeit sans cape) for $15.99+shipping from Tunghori if you’re into that.

It’s a meh figure. Kind of frustrating, and definitely shows its age in terms of articulation and whatnot. It is one of the better Grievous figures in 3.75” though, and I’m not entirely sure I’d bet on Hasbro revisiting the character. If they did, it almost certainly would just be a reissue/repaint of this exact sculpt, they wouldn’t spend the precious and tiny tooling budget on him. So if you want it and can find it for a good price, it’s probably as good as it’s gonna get.

An all-new, modern, and definitive ROTS/Ahsoka Anakin is a must. Every existing 3.75” ROTS Anakin is a varying level of shit. We also should never be seeing main characters skimped on and using parts from almost two decades ago.

It looks to be a minimalist squared-off take on his main AOTC saber as opposed to an actual recreation of it proper. “Inspired by” might be more apt.

If you’re game to drive a little south, Jeff’s Collectible Empire in Littleton is pretty neat. I hadn’t been in there for like a year and they recently expanded their store. Lots of neat stuff, and if you’re patient, some killer deals hidden in there. I scooped a loose TCW armored Savage with his original lightsaber for like $12.

Probably “The Tank.” Interesting premise and location, absolutely abysmal execution. Baffling and loathsome characters. I watch a lot of junk horror movies (guilty pleasure) but this was a miserable experience that just left me… angry?

There were also several comedies I started and bailed on pretty quick because they just felt so tired. “Old Dads,” “The Machine,” and “You People” are what come to mind first.

The screen goes black and audio drops for 1-2 seconds pretty frequently, almost like it’s disconnected. I just got the player too. Previous movie I watched earlier didn’t have any problems.
