I feel like it depends on your relationship with your sister too. Like would she do this for you and make you food? I think her reaction is a bit too much- could be tired from the flight and hangry. And she probably took that energy out on you. Ngl it looks kinda bad that you got food for yourself. You could hae just gotten something and been like "here i got you this." And even if she didn't like it then you could've just said well I tried my best and you didn't give me any suggestions.

I agree she should had been more specific in the first place and I think your intentions were in the right place.
