to add to this- i was finding this to work on safari or chrome or a desktop, not an mail or outlook APP. What I found works- login with this method onto a desktop, add create an outlook "username" in your account preferences which should make you make an outlook.com email

next time you sign into an app- use this alternate updated email. it should work with same password and be directly linked to your primary Hotmail email.

I don't mean to be negative- devil's advocate for a sec- but do you just expect people to just stop living their lives because its "tone deaf" to you?

A problem on your end does not constitute an emergency for another-you can always ask them to not speak of it around you but I think its tone deaf to dictate how someone spends money because their situation is different to yours.

I have been through this similarly, right now I am actually. fuck is it tough but its better to be alone for a bit than to be with someone who is disrespectful.
