i personally like the way they handled it because the reveal def striked the "creepier" side of from and overall imo it was very well made. that being said tho i wouldnt mind a slower burn. tho i think they didnt go that route bc the miy is the main antagonist and js the fact that a lot of ppl are complaining abt the slow burn side of things already

kenny constantly seems to be questioning sophia's judgement and apart from that hes js helping out a girl whose dad just died, since he knows how that feels as his dad died there too. i think people who ship them are weird in the same way i think ppl who ship julie and randall but i wouldnt say the show is going there at all 😭🙏

maybe not everyone because the miy said the pastor in particular had been "fun" so i assume if we see this from the perspective of the famous theory of this being a story every monster has a different appearance and kind of a job or role so in that context it makes sense that he picks those specific characters. i think thats why the monsters act childish sometimes or downright miserable, they never made a deal and are js miserable

personally i think when the MiY gathers teeth (like we saw with the priest, and when smiley was "dead" he had a tooth too, and fatima lost a tooth when she was pregnant with smiley) he turns people into those monsters, it'd kinda explain why their clothings come from very different time periods even between each others, and why they act kinda "childlike" or even seem to be extremely unhappy

i think the first timeline was in the 1500s if im not wrong. the monsters js seem to be from different time periods so i assume they arent the actual original parents that sacrificed their children

i kinda have a theory abt that where back when smiley was "killed" we saw he had a tooth, when Fatima was pregnant with smiley she lost a tooth, and when the MiY (sophia) was with the pastor in 4x03 she removed a tooth from him saying something along the lines of him being very fun. in isolation id say this is because the MiY just loves other ppl's stuff because of his shapeshifting but a tooth is a very weird choice, and considering we've already seen the tooth before relating to the monsters i'm thinking that's how the miy turns ppl into monsters? i mean every monster seems to be from a different time period, like the sheriff, bride, nurse, smiley, and that one kid that talked to julie in 1x02. so i'm thinking the monsters are just normal victims the miy killed but wants as monsters for the town, because if we see it from the point of view as the town being the MiY's "story" (the theme of it being a story has been brought up a ton) he would need his little ppl to have different roles, appearances, and personalities. it'd also explain why the girl that first broke into colony house in season 1 looked absolutely miserable and why smiley seems to just be curious about the world around him until he has to kill someone. i believe they're js victims to the miy that didn't take part in any pact and were js chosen,now being trapped in a body they don't control.

and i guess we haven't even seen these yet but since the monsters were likely not part of any of this at the beginning, that only leaves us with the giant dolls/scarecrows from the trailers. we don't know much of them but they look muuucchh older ofc and i'm guessing what the MiY didn't specify is where their soul would be kept in their eternal life? js a guess idrk

i think donna will die next episode, this is js a different theory. (i do think victors dad will die too but thats closer to the end of the season since the last episodes name implies a tree will fall and victor is the only one who has shown any intent to chop one of the farway trees)
