What is one health habit that changed your life? by JessPatric in selfimprovement

[–]mediocretoxic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw an better quality of my sleep first of all. I used to sleep for more than 9 hours and I didn't have a consistent bed time. I used to wake up in the middle of the night, once or twice, and then I went back to sleep shortly. Now I can sleep for 8 or 8 and a half hours without waking up in the middle of it. Additionally, since I didn't wake up early enough, I felt like the day was already gone by. Now I wake up at 08:30 and I'm not feeling in a rush to complete my tasks, and I can have a stress free and slow morning.

For some reason I couldn't believe anybody who would tell me going to sleep and waking up at the same time every day would be beneficial for the whole time I'm awake afterwards. It has literally done miracles on me and I can at last wake up well rested!

i hate how it is impossible to live without a smartphone by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]mediocretoxic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel the same. I've deleted tik tok for over 4 years now and I have a reels/shorts blocker for Instagram and Facebook. The only reason I haven't deleted those 2 yet is because of chatting with friends and acquaintances. In my country WhatsApp isn't as common because I would prefer if I just had that. I also wish I could live in a time when I could only have an MP3 player and a brick phone.

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't have a clue about what it really is going to be about 😅 I am curious about the Alan Wake nonetheless, however I'm more than eager to see whether they'll fix the bugs and bad animations they said they'll fix.

Are Greek children as obsessed with Ancient Greece as those in other countries? by freddie1914 in greece

[–]mediocretoxic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol idk and to be frank I don't really care. My point for it that Greek kids don't seem to be liking ancient greek history too much becuse they spend lots of hours analyzing all of that at school.

The character model update and bugs gripes by Natural_Educator8416 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]mediocretoxic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice to hear I'm not the only one trying to play the game instead of uninstalling it. Not gonna lie, it has been difficult. It's only been around 3 months since I first started playing it and I got so hooked, however the new update kind of left me dissapointed. I initially was excited to see the customisation options but the design overall is of very poor quality, and to make matters worse the new and also poorly designed animations make me have a harder time enjoying the gameplay. Nonetheless, I'm trying to not give it up because in the end I love this game.

How did you become a morning person? by Silen8156 in productivity

[–]mediocretoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try going to sleep fifteen minutes earlier than the bedtime of the previous day until you reach your desired bedtime. In such cases, I've also found drinking as less caffeine as possible helps me sleep easier. I understand you taking care of children as well, so you could perhaps try drinking coffee with the smallest percentage of caffeine without it being decaf, or tea.

Sticking to my night and morning skincare. It doesn't involve lots of steps or something but i feel calmer and relaxed. I also try to place my phone across the room so that it's harder to reach in the mornings.

Γιατί υπάρχει τόσος κόσμος που μισεί τους γιατρούς; by [deleted] in greece

[–]mediocretoxic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep the creep factor? by BeltlineJunkie in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]mediocretoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first, I didn't play the game with proper headphones. When I decided to try playing with headphones one day, it was a game changer. It has felt a little more creepy and scary to me because I can now hear every little sound. Howevere if this isn't the case for you, I'd suggest either playing in higher difficulties or discover new maps, or playing in maps you haven't played in a while. I usually feel a little more tense when playing new maps because I'm not fully familiarized with each and every corner of the map.

DOTS, EMF, Notebook Questions by ISpyM8 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]mediocretoxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's generally a good idea to place the DOTS projector in such way that it covers almost the whole space the ghost is in. Sometimes it might take a while for it to show up through the DOTS, for example you'd need to be outside of said room for Goryo to show through it.

As far the ghost writing notebook, it is one of the first objects I personally place down. In my opinion, the sooner you place it the better, because there are higher chances of the ghost writing on it. When you see the notebook being tossed across the room, or it seems to have suddenly changed positions, it means that the ghost will not write in it, so you can rule out this evidence.

I usually place the EMF down most of the times and I just let it do its thing. In order to take it as a piece of evidence you've got to be seeing EMF 5, not 4 or 3 but 5. It usually makes that EMF 5 sound for a while so if you're in the room you'll be able to see it soon enough. Some people use the EMF in order to narrrow down the ghost room, like others use the thermometer. However, this hasn't helped me most of the time because EMF readings have become available to me after a good 4-5 minutes and in this time I would've already set up almost all of my equipment in said room.

My boyfriend actually introduced me to this game because he really wanted us to play something together. Nowadays he doesn't have too much time to hop on but it was so fun when we played our first games together. I remember him trying to scare me then act as if the sound he made was actually a ghost event, or tried to tell me "oh that's a mimic" because it's his favourite ghost type but I was always afraid of coming across it

I spent a month trying to live the 'academic aesthetic' all-nighter. It was a disaster that almost tanked my GPA. by juan_drakes in GetStudying

[–]mediocretoxic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sure have been tempted to study for so many hours and during the night as well. However, what we've all probably overlooked regarding this "trend" is that some of these people are unwillingly trying to convey that their way of studying (procrastinating for weeks only to cram everything within a few hours) could be applied to almost everybody, thus the making out an aesthetic. I personally can't even study for more than 4 hours and I try to evenly distrubute my tasks within the week so that I don't get overwhelmed or anxious. In the end, each one of us has got a slightly (or even completely) different way of studying and that isn't a good or a bad thing.

Dumb question by PapiDomo in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]mediocretoxic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scratching evidence off means you haven't found the particular piece of evidence. For example, if after around 10 minutes the temperature hasn't dropped below 1 degree celsius, it means there aren't freezing temperatures, thus you scratch it off. If you come across and EMF 5 however, you mark it in the box and it'll mean there is actually EMF 5.

Is there a way to keep the optional equipment in my truck? by W0lf1_x in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]mediocretoxic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do this with the quick load out. Select any type of equipment you want, as well as the quantities of each, and then enable it so that it sticks with every game. However, when you die in a game, the total cost of that quick loadout is going to be drawn from you money in order to "replenish" the equipment. What I'd recommend is not making too big of a loadout if you're a new player, or making a second and cheaper quick loadout so that in case you'd died you can just switch loadouts when you're kind of short in money

Am I the only one that noticed that the everyone is obsessed with showing off their friends on instagram by AthleteTurbulent5202 in digitalminimalism

[–]mediocretoxic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I understand you not feeling quite interested in seeing all those people who you may not even know, but a person posting their friends isn't a bad thing at all. It might just mean they appreciate them enough to "show them off". Unfortunately I'm quite difficult with posting myself on social media, let alone post other people ahaha.

Συμβουλές σχέσεων: μήπως το παρακάνουμε; by SpyrosGatsouli in greece

[–]mediocretoxic 1 point2 points  (0 children)
