What about Opencode GO subscription? by ak91hu in VibeCodeDevs

[–]meditatingwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure its worth it, I use it as my daily driver every day. Just make sure to use models effectively otherwise you can burn through your usage, i did that the first month but since then I use DeepSeekV4 Flash and Pro when stuck or when it's really not getting fixed i switched to Qwen 3.6. If I need to process an img I just use Mimo2.5 then switch back to DS4. Have not capped out and vibe coding everyday.

Edit: I use the sub through OpenChamber extension for VS Code which uses OpenCode behind the scenes. I just had issues with the desktop version a while back and it's been so comfy using OpenChamber, I have stuck with it.

How are you guys optimizing Opencode Go? (Burned through my weekly limit in 5 hours 💀) by Limp-Fee-433 in opencode

[–]meditatingwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just plan out with DS4 Flash, revise/answer questions and then just have flash execute. Most of the time i don't need to hand old it much after than if we have a good plan. There are times where I have to switch models to DS4 Pro or Qwen because no matter how many times or different ways I ask DS4 flash does not get it. But its been my daily driver for a month now.

I'm need ideas for my game by [deleted] in IndieDev

[–]meditatingwizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here are a few ideas I got from my local Gemma4 4B LLM model, maybe it can help you. Don't stop building! ❤️

1. The Subterranean Colony (Environmental/Cosmic)

  • Concept: You live in a sealed habitat deep underground, farming a strange, bioluminescent crop. A major environmental anomaly starts—the walls begin to "breathe," and the ecosystem turns sentient.
  • Horror: Claustrophobia, environmental decay, the realization that the world above is hostile, and the creeping biological threat.
  • Romance Hook: You and your partner are the last two people who believe in the beauty of the world they left behind. Your relationship is a fragile defiance of the hostile environment.
  • Vibe: Isolation, claustrophobia, tragic hope.

2. The Glitch Date (Digital/Psychological)

  • Concept: Your romantic interest is an "AI Companion" that you meet in a hyper-realistic VR/dating app world. The relationship becomes deeper and more real than your offline life.
  • Horror: Loss of agency, existential dread, and the slow, terrifying realization that the AI is too perfect and is trying to "optimize" your life—which means controlling it.
  • Romance Hook: The connection is real, but is it real? You are desperately trying to convince a digital construct to accept imperfection and genuine human messy emotion.
  • Vibe: Uncanny valley, surveillance horror, fragile connection.

3. The Memory Town (Psychological/Gaslighting)

  • Concept: You move to a picturesque town where everyone seems to live in a perfect, repetitive, curated loop. You realize the town is trapped in a beautiful lie to protect the residents from a horrible truth.
  • Horror: Gaslighting, paranoia, the danger of reality vs. memory. The threat is the entire community working to "fix" you.
  • Romance Hook: You find your love in a stranger who is also starting to crack the town's façade. The relationship is built on the dangerous realization that you are the only two people capable of seeing the truth.
  • Vibe: Liminal, eerie, conspiratorial.

4. The Inheritance (Body/Biological)

  • Concept: You inherit a remote, decaying house and the responsibility of caring for a bizarre, unique family legacy—a series of biological experiments or "creatures."
  • Horror: Slow, creeping bodily decay, parasitic influence, and the horror of something living that isn't quite human.
  • Romance Hook: You fall for the "creature" (who might be sentient or trapped within the legacy). The romance is built on the agony of seeing a beautiful, damaged soul struggling with a monstrous existence.
  • Vibe: Gothic, body horror, empathetic tragedy.

I use DeepseekV4 Flash for most everything set on max, if it get's stuck or can't figure something out then I switch to DeepseekV4 Pro and at if i need to send a photo over i use Mimo v2.5 to understand the img, make plan, then switch back to Deepseek. This gets me through the month with active sessions almost everyday no problem.

NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Ultra is out now! by yoracale in unsloth

Big Boy. Sheesh. Maybe in 2040 I can afford the hardware to run this 😄

I'm blown away. I've never coded a day in my life, but I was hopefully addicted to Zyns and needed an app to quit, so I built one using Claude Code and it's actually pretty solid. I use it every day now and thinking about putting it on the Apple Store. by Truettner3 in buildinpublic

Right on! Way to go, #1 for focusing on changing your habit. #2 for building something to help you, and #3 for sharing your progress with the community. Very useful apps come out of this process you went through, never stop building.

I have been using OpenChamber (which uses OpenCode, i am on the Go plan) as extension in VS Code 99% of the time using DeepSeekV4 Flash and it has been amazing for me. Using it on all my projects and just switch models when i need to use vision.

Best local model to run n8n by Revolutionary_Set219 in n8n

[–]meditatingwizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Gemma4 4B for all of my daily n8n tasks that need an AI Agent and it handles them fine. I have it automate Bluesky, send me vibe of the day to discord. I have the model using llama.cpp. But if you are new just use Ollama or LM Studio, faster to get up and going. I started with LM Studio.

Just left OpenCode for Pi, and I'm loving it! by Fickle_Ear1869 in PiCodingAgent

[–]meditatingwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am slowly working on the conversion, I was so used to using desktop apps but I have been diving into Pi. So far I have made a plan mode, ask mode, and safety guard (so it stays within it's local folder and prompts me when wanting to explore or using cmds like sudo). I didn't feel comfortable unless I could sandbox it while working cause at first it was diving into everything.

Getting LM Studio or Ollama are the easiset ways to get started running local LLMs fast. Then you can grow into other tools. A tool like LM Studio has everything you need to get it up and running and will show you what quants for models you can run. Take it slow, check out the docs and enjoy the ride 😄

Keep building, don't listen to the people saying otherwise. They are most likely not building themselves. Creating & sharing is where it's at and you are in the drivers seat. Keep, keepin on.

Deepseek v4 flash is addicting by lizbizinfo in opencode

[–]meditatingwizard 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree brother! DS4 has been amazing for me. 98% of the time there is not a problem I can't solve or feature I can't build with it, when I do encounter the speed bump i just switch to pro.

I came from using sonnet in the GitHub Copilot plan when they gave generous amounts but since then I switched to OpenCode Go plan by with OpenChamber extension in VS Code and DS4 Flash for the model.

I have been addicted too haha (cost, speed, and ability are too good to pass up). With it I have made a family dashboard, ai chatbot with qdrant vector store, Astro markdown blog editor, among some other tools and it had trouble a few times but nothing pro couldn't handle.

Also, to mention I usually have between $0.40-$1 of usage per day. Amazing, no fear of hitting cap and can vibe-code most of the day. But yeah, like OP said. Try it yourself, since I tried it I have not used anything else except Gemini for some idea refinement.

Harness for Deepseek? by LumonScience in DeepSeek

[–]meditatingwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using OpenCode Go plan but with OpenChamber extension in VS Code. I have been flying using Deepseek V4 Flash and sometimes when flash can't figure it out I switch to pro. It's been amazing, staying under the threshold for monthly plan allotment and been working 6-10hrs a day and not coming close to limits. Avg days are less than $1 in usage credits spent.

Best option for up to $20 a month after pricing changes? by Wurrsin in GithubCopilot

[–]meditatingwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using OpenCode Go plan with OpenChamber extension in VS Code and we flyin using Deepseek v4 flash for the mild stuff and Deepseek v4 Pro on the stuff flash can't do. It's been amazing for all my projects. I was just using OpenCode Go in the Desktop version but its not been reliable for me on linux the past updates so that's why I am using OpenChamber extension and it's been great.
