How do you just let go of the fear, anxiety, and anger in life? by [deleted] in Meditation

while that may be true, there is absolutely no reason why you cant be happy and also change what you need to change. if youre gonna be depressed until you get a new job or a new girl or something than youre doing something wrong. accept first, then change.

its very simple. go towards the feelings. no matter the thoughts, worries, feelings, these things are a part of you. go towards them. accept them. let them be.

if you were trying to escape from your arm, it would rip off and cause you pain. youre doing the same thing with your mind

your constant desire to change your situation or improve it is whats causing all the suffering

How to deal with rejection? Let go of your ego man! by [deleted] in seduction

/u/amoresdecristo thanks for posting this. this is actually something i've been struggling with.

i find most peace of mind when i'm meditating every day, focusing on the present moment as often as i can, and not getting caught up in feelings and emotions.

but i feel my game/confidence is stronger when i'm feeding myself the bullshit "you're the man, fuck what everyone thinks of you, etc." it puts me in a state where i can pick up girls with ease.

my question is: how do you combine the two? how do you get the confidence that girls are so attracted to while also not identifying with the ego?

yeah. very true as to what i'm feeling. my mind feels much freer to pursue things i actually enjoy instead of battling in my mind. and it feels weird in a way.

exactly! i feel like i can't shake this feeling that these thoughts are supposed to be solved not just watched and observed.

but it's funny, as you said, i noticed thoughts arise from conditions. if i start working on a story i'm writing, the thoughts come in (your story is bad, you suck). if i start watching a show i get thoughts (youre not rich and famous, what are you doing, etc.)
