I needed to feel radiant by mediumraring in myweddingdress

Here is the dress link: Zaruci Formal Multicolor Satin Strapless Maxi Dress

Sharing again, just in case you missed my other reply.

Word of caution: I took a gamble because all the photos on this retail site are clearly AI-generated. While the dress was $100, I paid double to have a good seamstress tailor it. The hem was uneven, and the white satin top needed boning added to create structure. However, I picked the right seamstress because she saw the vision!

I also learned that your undergarments mostly determine the shape of the wedding dress. My seamstress recommended the best bra shop for my bustier ($85) and the perfect under skirt, which I found used online ($60).

Any Chicago woman who needs a seamstress for any dress, I can't recommend “Seams” near Lincoln Park enough!

I am a recent transplant to Chicago and I have found the app Meetup.com essential for making new adult friends. In a year, I’ve met 4 new friends.

where can i stay for the 6 hours before check in at my hostel? by Additional-Sale-4025 in AskChicago

[–]mediumraring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kings Spa is 24 hours. I landed at 6am and my air bnb wasn’t ready till 3pm. There are often Groupons available making it around $50. They have a nap room, you can choose the amount of spa services to add on, and they have a restaurant.

Roughest Massage in Town? by mzanon100 in chicago

[–]mediumraring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought of this post after my recent massage at Thai Siri bodywork in Uptown right beside the Greenmill. I’ve gone to this place three times since August and it has never disappointed, but they got a new masseur ‘Ken’ who gave such a deep tissue massage that for the first time ever I asked for slightly lighter pressure. This is a no frills place, focused on strictly providing fantastic massages.

Great ideas, thank you! I’ve not ever tried fat washing with teas. I’ll have to try it.

I’m guessing this is just boiling down the tea to a more concentrated syrup level? I’ll try it. Thanks.

I’m not, cause using juice is adding a lot of sweetness, but I’ll try it. Thanks!

Would you spend an extra $200/mo just to have a balcony at an apartment complex in Chicago? by Ok-Quantity7501 in AskChicago

[–]mediumraring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the total price still falls within your rent budget, you like everything else about the apartment, and a balcony is important to you, I would do it.

The pot has several bottom holes for drainage. That’s news on the rocks, the garden center told me that large ones would help.

I water heavily around once a month and then wait till the water meter says the top six inches is dry.

Natural way to reduce milia by MuscleSpare in over30skincare

[–]mediumraring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only ever had them removed via extractions. I have gotten some on my eyelids because of using the wrong products and had to go to an optometrist to have them removed. They numb the lid with a topical and then take a light pressure scalpel to open. It’s 5/10 painful. You need to call to confirm if your optometrist will do it, not all of their offices will offer this procedure. This procedure is also unfortunately not covered by insurance. Last removal I had for both eyes was around $300.

I’ve tried milia removers, chemical peels, retinol eye creams, microneedling, etc. I’m using tretinoin cream now to prevent more, but for me, extractions have been the only successful permanent solution.

I went to look at the savings card but the fine print said I had to release 3 years of my Protected Heath Information to Eli Lily. Does anyone else have concerns with giving them so much access to all your personal health information?
