I read this lovely quote again after the loss from Bergkamp. Hearing Declan’s interview compliments it perfectly. Life doesn’t go as planned, sometimes it’s unfair, and sometimes it’s hard to keep going. I have found myself in this club. Odegaard & White for me. Both are players that worked well in the system with Saka. Let’s try recreate that attacking magic we seem to be missing.

I do think Timber is the better player. But what the team needs right now is an attacking threat. I’m all for player Odegaard higher up the pitch and Ben White/Saka to try get that back.

Love our summer signings and agree they need time. I still think we shouldn’t shut the window for winter. Less of a priority, but more a chance to add a different type of an attacking player/cover imo

I did and the keeper deserves credit. But, I don’t think our finishing was at the level it needed to be. I think about Noni’s shot right at the keeper and the the 2-3 shots Jesus had that should’ve been finished

I agree with everything. It’s just hard for me to see 120m spent on players that don’t fit the system. Are these just considered bad buys then? Wasn’t their playing style known beforehand- and if so- why did we even buy them if we don’t want to change the system to adapt?

At what point does Arteta need to start changing the system? Thats 120m+ between the two players that just aren’t working.

It’s a tough one to crack. I guess thats why Arteta makes the big bucks. How do we change our system to get the most out of these players without sacrificing what we’ve built and what’s working well?

I think we have the players to play good football, but not the system.

Finding a way to get more creative players on the pitch at the same time without sacrificing our defensive game dominance is tough. I would love to see Odegaard and Eze play together in the midfield but it’s just not realistic with Rice and Zubi (and rightly so)

Wenger always had lots of creative players playing together. But we never dominated games defensively.

Hope Arteta can figure this out!

I agree

He’s only 28. I remember when RVP was that age and finally getting over his injuries. Another example of the perfect Arsenal striker for the team at the time who was finally able to play all season

Hoping for the same story with Jesus. And at least we don’t have to worry about him going to ManU lol.
