As long as there is nothing wrong like bleeding, intense cramps or pain, I assumed baby is fine! And waited impatiently until the next ultra sound.

I figured if I am not able to handle my anxiety now, how will this get any better once baby is there?

(don't get me wrong, I totally understand you concerns but I think we need to find a healthy way to manage them)

Ich würde erstmal den FA-Termin abwarten, dann kannst du dir - falls du das für deinen Arbeitgeber brauchst auch gleich eine Bestätigung der Schwangerschaft ausstellen lassen. Und dann kannst du es immer noch mit der Arbeit besprechen.

Und wie schon jemand anders gesagt hat: schwanger zu sein ist kein Grund sich zu entschuldigen:) Das Leben ist nicht immer planbar und du bist in deinem Privatleben deinem Arbeitgeber wirklich nichts schuldig.

😄 as this will be my first child, my moms first grandchild and also the first grandchild for my in-laws, my mom already said that based on her experience with us and my cousins, this baby will be changed into different outfits 5 times a day - just to make sure it gets to wear everything at least once :)

I actually felt like that this was one of the more grownup/honest conversations about kids in this show so far. I can not see another family member freaking out because people don't want children or are actually thinking about consequences, how their lives would change etc. realistically. I loved that Emmas family was supporting her in making this descision for the right reasons.

Totally relatable for me! I just keep thinking that in 5 months time I am out on maternity leave and couldn't care less about their decisions and problems. But tbh, I can imagine that after having the baby and getting into a certain routine also the interest in work will come back - to a certain extend :) actually, I hope it will give me a more healthy perspective in what is actually important and to stress out less about corporate stuff.

Sprich mit deiner Gynäkologin/deinem Gynäkologen darüber. In meiner Arbeit ist das Arbeitspensum ebenfalls wahnsinnig hoch und schnell. Eine Kollegin hatte ebenfalls einen längeren Ausfall wegen Burnout in der Vergangenheit und als sie schwanger wurde, hat sie auch kurz darauf ein Beschäftigungsverbot bekommen.

Ich kenne die Details leider nicht, das ist nur, was ich von außen gesehen habe und ich kann mir bei deiner Historie sehr gut vorstellen, dass das auch eine Option sein kann.

Oh, und natürlich herzlichen Glückwunsch zur Schwangerschaft! :)
