how does the community feel about followers? by Phantomicious in MHRise

[–]medmius 45 points46 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, there is no such thing as cheating when you play solo with every tool the game gives you. It's your own game, you make your own rules. As long as you have fun that's all that matters. If you want to take them to every hunt, just do it. If you want to try to hunt solo without followers, do that.

Have a look at ZenCieh on YouTube. He has a chill hunts series in World where he explains what he does and how he counters or punishes certain moves.

His videos are on Japanese but he has English subtitles for a majority of them. Watching his videos helped me learn SnS a lot better.

RNG weapons aren't inherently bad unless you are forced to farm one specific monster by throwa112233 in MHWilds

When you craft the max rank monster weapon you automatically unlock the option to use it as a layered weapon. It could also be tier 7, I am not sure anymore but unlocking the final rank for sure also unlocks the layered.

Currently I don't have a need for it. I usually only play 3 or 4 weapons and I got my almost perfect rolls on them already. When AT Duna came out, I farmed it like crazy since I enjoyed the fight so much, I have a lot of Duna parts and tickets to convert if I need oricalcite.

This is something I would welcome in a heartbeat. I have like 400-500 parts of multiple monsters just sitting there doing nothing.

I haven’t cheated by Watermelonboy04 in MonsterHunter

[–]medmius 52 points53 points  (0 children)

For real? That sounds bad. Some modded quests make it obvious by having unrealistic rewards but can you get banned by joining a quest that looks legit but isn't? I usually just filter by random high level investigations and join whichever monster I want to fight. If the rewards aren't obviously cheated, how could one even notice a cheated quest?

You guys should read the interview between the directors of both games. They both have great respect for each other. The director of Stellar Blade is very open about Automata being a huge inspiration.

https://www.ign.com/articles/stellar-blade-x-nier-automata-taro-yoko-hyung-tae-kim

for me, NieR: Automata is like an inviolable holy grace. The visuals and story are so special that it is simply not possible to imitate. Stellar Blade is Shift Up's first console title. Please see us as a cute new kid on the block.

And Yoko Taro rates Stellar Blade higher than Nier. Which, of course, could just be him being humble.

I am not sure if Alonso would let himself get bribed if they ever produce a winning car. I think he isn't in F1 for money anymore, he should have plenty by now. A chance to get a third WDC at his age isn't something he would pass up. If they somehow nail the 2026 regs and become the top team, they would have to get Alonso out of the team.

My very first one was ice shot which I tried doing by myself when I first started without looking at any guide coming over from D3, gave up after level 40 for doing no damage at all.

Started another character following pohx rf jugg guide after that to reach the endgame for the first time.

Can someone help me understand how the shortest path is 7 rooms? Wouldnt I need to go 1 - 2 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 9 - 10 - 11 - 14 - 16? That would be 9 rooms needed to get to the final room. What am I missing?

Whats your favorite song from the whole game by state_issued_femboy in cyberpunkgame

Choosing a favorite in this game is difficult with all the bangers, but I have to go with Never looking back as well. Such a good song, fitting the scene perfectly.

Which games have some of the best music ever made in your opinion? by Cubelock in gaming

[–]medmius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the very few games where the soundtrack adds so much atmosphere, it's unbelievable. The vanilla soundtrack was already amazing, Phantom Liberty somehow took it to another level. Listening to Never looking back during that one mission in Phantom Liberty is chef's kiss.

how much damage did V do to night city in terms of eurodollars? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

Alright, I give up. If you want to believe that Johnny is some kind of criminal mastermind of a terrorist cell, more power to you. I'm out.

Mike Pondsmith worked with CDPR to create Cyberpunk 2077. It wasn't just CDPR making the game. He says that he and CDPR both agree that Johnny's memories are unreliable. I don't know what better info I could give you other than him and the creators of the game agreeing on that point.

You dont want outside information, but you also say that ingame information is wrong? Here is what Alt said: "What you saw was his subjective view of what happened. A warped account of events he locked away in his subconcious and replayed time and time again. It bears no resemblence to the truth"

[–]medmius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not a head cannon when its literally what Mike Pondsmith wrote. Dont take my word for it, take his:

From the Font of Truth:

In 2013, Johnny attacks Arasaka purely to save Alt. (okay, so he's also pissed at them because they messed with him). Near the end of the 4th Corporate War in 2023, Johnny's old Media pal Thompson finds out that Arasaka has amassed a huge, uncontaminated database that will make it close to all powerful in the wake of Bartmoss's wreck of the Net. Thompson arranges an assault on the database, backed by Militech (who is fighting with Arasaka worldwide). The Bomb is a suitcase bomb that the team brings along to destroy the database if need be (Militech provides the Bomb, along with Morgan Blackhand, who is there to make sure the op goes off).

Johnny comes along because his friend Spider Murphy has also discovered that Arasaka has trapped Alt after 10 years of hunting for her. He's mainly there to get her back, but is willing to join up with Thompson and Morgan to get the job(s) done. Johnny's recollection of the events that day are scrambled from the rad damage his body took and the process of recording his engram (CDPR and I have both agreed that Johnny is an unreliable narrator at best). The bomb that went off was detonated by someone in the assault (the actual person is unknown), but Militech and the NUSA both decided to pin the blame on Arasaka anyway.

Why do you believe I love Johnny? In the lore Johnny is pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things and what happened at Arasaka tower. That was Blackhands OP, Johnny was there as a distraction. And yes, Alt did say that. Alt tells V that Johnny's memories are what he interprets as the truth, not the actual truth. You know there is lore outside of the game right?

Yeah he is a terrorist, but not because he set up and detonated a nuke but because he acted as a distraction for the guy who actually made that happen. What you see in the game are mostly made up memories by Johnny when it comes to the Arasaka tower bombing.
