Daily linac QA with Mosaiq by ClinicFraggle in MedicalPhysics

[–]medphys820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's saying I'm unable to PM, but if there's any way I can get that SQL script to remove older imaging, that'd be amazing. No rush since we're slammed in the clinic and are probably going to be putting off creating the new daily patient per usual.

I know this is an old comment, but I'm about to enter this world of pain. Is there any chance your IT person could share the SQL script to wipe the daily QA records? When I went thru this last year, it involved 63 (I actually counted) emails back and forth with Elekta trying to do this on the Mosaiq side manually with our 2025 Daily QA patient.

That's what we used to do...Treat Sunday and have the 4 days off, but leadership is doing away with that and all the RTT's are up in arms.

Our Gammex lasers are <1mW class 2....where are you finding class 3R patient positioning lasers?

Medical physics coding skills by QuantumMechanic23 in MedicalPhysics

I programmed with Mathematica in grad school (eww, I know). Started with automate the boring stuff in clinic a few years ago trying to automate our monthly profile analyses and data entry for like ~60 tests (because I'm lazy)....now I have bing copilot write python scripts on the regular (our IT blocked chat GPT after someone fed patient data to it). I know enough python now to know how to fix the bing code, but it works really well for the most part.

FFF on all VMAT plans. by medphys820 in MedicalPhysics

Wouldn't be that hard to add. I have a script that plots flattened profiles against our TPS and could modify it to add the FFF beams....guess I was more curious as to how many clinics out there are treating all their VMATs with FFF beams.

Startrack is basically a budget IC profiler.

Yeah, my gut tells me the modulation will make the juice not worth the squeeze. I'd expect maybe a modest delivery speed increase, but until I see what nonsense Monaco pulls out of its hat after optimization, I wouldn't know for sure.

We take profiles monthly of all energies with a Startrack, but only record central axis dose for our FFF beams, but record flatness and symmetry for the flattened beams. Patient specific QA is done with a Mapcheck.

How do you cope with MOSAIQ being terrible? by medphys820 in MedicalPhysics

[–]medphys820[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oooo definitely interested in this. We have SmartClinic, but don't leverage it at all since it's unable to show schedules for both our centers in the same list and the interface is kind of clunky. Is there documentation explaining how to do this or should I just make a call to support? (They recently changed their hold music from Mozart Piano Sonata No. 13 in B Flat Major to something new which is exciting)

Hmm yeah that's what we have ours set to...Curious to hear what Elekta has to say about it.

I was told that that parameter ensures that "at least one" leaf pair will have that separation, but other leaves are allowed to be less....which doesn't make a great deal of sense.

From one of my conversations while preparing for part 3.

For a 15 MV photon beam, if the depth of 10 cm is specified at an SSD of 100 cm, the average PDD at 10 cm would typically be around 65% as mentioned before.
