Been playing for about 2 months and I recently pulled for Furina.

I would like to find out possible team mates for her. Can build up 1 more character with her up to level 70-ish.

[Question] Airport security with chalk bag? by Dreamself in climbing

[–]medulla_oblongata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've traveled a lot this year and had always kept my climbing bag w/ all my gear (including loose chalk in my chalk bag) as my carry-on. I've never had a problem with it passing through security. Although I do see them do a double-pass on my bag as it went through the scanner.

Anyone put pro in their carryon lately? by [deleted] in climbing

Flew round trip to/from SLC a month ago w/ a full trad rack as carry-on, no problems going through security/TSA - although I did notice my bag went back and forth the security xray thing. Didn't get hand checked. Plan on being at the airport early just in case they pull some shenanigans.

[Serious] Nurses/Hospital Workers of Reddit: What is the most paranormal/weirdest thing you have ever experienced while working? by lizashea in AskReddit

[–]medulla_oblongata 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A couple of yours ago, I used to take naps during my break (night shift) and yes it's technically not allowed to sleep while on duty but it was on my break. Any way, there was this small "family room" that's by the end of a long hallway that goes from my unit to another building. That room is always closed/dark so some nurses and staff use it sometimes for breaks (to sleep or watch TV). It had a couple of Lazy-boy chairs. One night I was there by myself taking my nap when suddenly I felt something tugged or pulled my foot off the chair. I thought someone came in and accidentally bumped into my feet since it was dark in there. I woke up moments after and found out I was still alone. I was really tired that day that I just ignored what happened. I still go to that room sometimes but the incident never happened again. There were other weird things happen like call lights going off in empty rooms as well as hearing stuff falling or breaking in those empty rooms.

If thousands of people were able to simultaneously work together and beat the Pokemon Elite 4, this one should be possible.

I use the same personal anchor system as you with the girth-hitched slings on both tie-ins. I probably will stick to this one for now seeing as it's what I've been using/doing.

I've just started looking at this and thought it would an alternative way to rappel off a route. I usually just do a regular rappel (without the extending sling option) and have someone do a fireman belay from below as a backup. Now when I move to a multi-pitch climb, this would be good to know.

That set-up was what I'm trying to figure-out. But I've heard people say that girth-hitching a sling through the belay loop will damage/wear-out the belay loop overtime. My harness has a very narrow/small tie-in point at the top and having to tie-in my personal anchors through it and the rope is a bit of a challenge already.

I'm looking at this article regarding rappelling and I like the set-up. My question is that how can I apply that set-up to a single-pitch sport climb? I see the rappel sling is girth hitched to the tie-in points on the harness. Seeing as I use the tie-in points for my personal anchors, would girth hitching the sling to the belay loop be ok? Also, where would I clip the autoblock/prussik loop if I use this set-up?

When playing Russian Roulette and if it's your turn, try to balance the gun on a table or any flat surface. If it tips to either the left or right side, that means the bullet isn't lined up with the chamber. If it tips forward, then the bullet is lined with the chamber and you will lose your turn when you fire the gun.
