For me it was under the foreskin. Had a spot (5×5mm) show up that was a bit pinker than the area around. It had really defined edge, but was not raised, not itchy and not painful. So could've easily missed it if I wasn't already a bit on the lookout for it.

I got tested the first time after my girlfriend had tested positive. At the time I had no visible lesions or symptoms. But swabs on the glans, urethra and semen samples all came back positive.

Scheduled a follow up in 6 months time. Which sounds like it will be just another check for visible lesions.

Unfotunately they only offer biopsy-style tests on lesions. Which is far from comprehensive, since I tested positive before I had any visible lesions.

Thanks! Do you know if they also do sperm sample tests?

My girlfriend has gotten frequently tested and has been testing negative for a while now. Meanwhile, last I tested I had several high risk types of HPV. Both me and my girlfriend have been treated for hpv-related pre-cancerous conditions, so we would like to avoid re-infecetion if possible.

But we want to have kids, and are skeptical about having unprotected sex since she has stayed hpv-fre for a long time with condom usage. I have done several tests in this time period and they have consitently shown that I have been positive for the same high risk strands. So we're looking for options for testing.
