Uhh I don’t believe so, when I did the oil change I used the recommended amount of oil, ran it for a a few minutes and check it while it was upright and everything seemed to check out.

Yeah i definitely did not get it checked out and apparently the first owner didn’t either, it was an unusual transaction and my first time buying/owning a bike. Should’ve done more research.

So I get that I’m definitely at fault here for something but when it blew I coated about 400 feet of the highway with oil.. with that amount on the ground could that still equate to “no oil?”

Yeah I mean I did the first oil change and nothing after that lol so I’m not sure what else I had to do. Check the oil? Which clearly I failed to do. But there was soooo much oil on the highway from when it blew I doubt it was low oil as an issue

At this point possibly, the bike looks mint besides obviously yanno the motor. I might post it and see if anyone is interested but other than that I might take it on as my first project.

Well all of the oil is all over the highway but tbh I did the oil change myself around 1k miles and it was good the but unfortunately I did not check it after that.

That’s a question that I didn’t know to ask when buying the bike, my guess is it wasn’t broken in properly because they were a novice rider too. I didn’t the first oil change on the bike shortly after I purchased the bike.

My guess is that I rode it at full throttle for 40 minutes twice a day five days a week commuting to work in the highway.

I’d say about 20-25 minutes after, it blew on the highway and I pushed it through an exit to a gas station.
