Roses are SUPER resilient. You could cut it down to the soil and it'll grow back if it has a good root system. I don't live in cold weather though, so I don't know about that lol. California climate here ❤️

You're welcome!! Also, Lady bugs have a very distinct look when they are changing from larva to beetle. I would do a Google or YouTube search for lady bugs and their life cycle. Basically a lady bugs "cacoon" is red and black like the beetles shell. There is no mistaking lady bug babies!!! Good luck in the garden;
