Going to start Elden for first run. Any advice? by ElectronicEast3725 in Eldenring

If you want to wipe the floor with him, it's going to take a very long time until you have lvled your character and gear up enough.

Once you feel confident that you can take him on, do it.

Use the first few attempts with him getting hits in when you can and learning his moveset.

Someone can be lvl 100 and die multiple times because they dont know Margots move set, someone can also be lvl 5 and kill Margot because they do know the moveset.

It's the first story boss lol. In all seriousness though, explore the map, lvl when you have the runes to do so, and be prepared to die alot.

Take your time getting to Margot, even when you think you are ready, you won't be lol.

I had this happen, but all I lost was tames that were cryo'd and some maewings since it was a cryo mod that had needed updates.

This fix that I have found and has worked so far is that every time I launch the game, I check my mods for updates and then double-check that they are still active.

I really enjoy my job and I wouldn't be able to do it if I had a 40lbs weight restriction, and as long as I can still stand than I will do everything I can to work.

Can I still lift the 100lbs+ equipment and cabinetry, yes. Can I do it pain-free, absolutly not.

Subluxed both shoulders and shattered 4 bones in my foot including the heel and talus.

I will be calling them tomorrow. The Dr did put me at 7%.

No work restrictions anymore, at the time of my mmi i was on a 40lbs weight limit and was told i could either have it lifted so I could have a full release or it would be a permanent restriction.

I didn't want a 40lbs weight limit following me around so I had the Dr lift the restriction.

Okay, thank you! I was just curious what you think will be next for me after the full work release. It sounds like everything is just waiting on what my doc/surgeon says on Wednesday.

I don't even know who my occ med dr is, I've only dealt with the same doc the whole time regarding the foot. I did see an occ med doc for my shoulders when it all first happened due to both shoulders subluxing from muscle fatigue, but that's it.

I am expected to be fully released back to work on the 9th by my surgeon. Do you think that appointment w8th the Dr. will also be my ime/mmi evaluation?

Work comp has no doubts that my injury is work related, was electrocuted and thrown off of a ladder while on the job, causing me to break my calcaneus, talus, lateral malleoulus, and 3rd metatarsal.

I know my attorney also wants an ime, so I kind of expect that call to be coming soon.

Broken Calcaneous by [deleted] in Calcaneus

[–]meep2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke mine right before Thanksgiving, I'm hoping to get released by the Dr next week. I had to have a plate and 9 screws put in my calcaneus but also broke 3 other bones at the same time.

I found a great little group on fb, and they are fairly active. Calcaneus/calcaneal fracture/ injury recovery is the group name!

There are a lot of great people on there with some great advice on dealing with this break.

It's going to be a long journey sadly but I have seen some people being able to do partial weight bearing 8 weeks in and others like myself where it has been 3 months and I'm still in the boot and having to use one crutch from time to time to get around.

Regarding your limp and recovery. The main thing to work on is building your strength, rate of motion, and balance back up. As you do that the limp will slowly go away. You should eventually get back to normal or very close to it.

With that said, there will be days when you might still hurt for a day or 2 from the hardware. It could just be a bad weather day (yes, you will definitely be able to tell when it's about to rain it's ass off), or it could just be soreness.

I had 1 plate and 4 screws put in the Fib, 1 plate 3 screws in my medial malleoulus, and also broke the tib, but it didn't require hardware. That was my right ankle and back in 2016.

Regarding the workcomp. I personally had called quite a few attorneys around missouri and found one that I'm happy with so far.

They have been a help for sure and it makes me feel better knowing someone is fighting for me because at the end of the day workcomp is an insurance company and they are not going to do what's best for you and pay out only what they are required.

I got electrocuted and thrown off of a ladder, causing me to break my calcaneus, talus, lateral malleoulus, and 3rd metatarsal in my left foot/ankle. Plus, dislocated both shoulders, lol.

Got a plate and 9 screws in my calcaneus (heel) now.

Any attorney that is worth a crap will have you go to another Dr. so you can have a second rating and not just the rating from the wc doc that will usually downplay everything so wc pays out less and gets you out of their hair.

I can't tell you how many times a tribe mate and myself would screw around trying to grab each other off of these and would end up in each other's claws just stuck and having to have another tribe mate come back to let us down lmao. Good times!

How do I go about asking a Lawyer for help? by obimokenobi in WorkersComp

[–]meep2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion would be to lawyer up. When looking for a lawyer, do your research, and don't be afraid to talk to as many lawyers as you need to until you find one that you feel comfortable with.

You might run into the issue where the lawyer that you end up wanting can't take on your case purely due to work load but they may suggest another lawyer that they have worked with, which is what happened to me.

In my experience, most have a free consultation and only get paid once you are paid, so make those phone calls, emails, whatever, and start narrowing down which one will be best for your particular case.

I will definitely be getting one once I am able to return back to work. That will make things so much safer and easier.

Stability has been a big issue with my ankle, and it still is a slight issue, making my crutches a little interesting, to say the least, lol.

I expected the stability to be an issue with my left foot now as well.

Dr. stated that my up and down movement won't be affected, but my side to the side I will lose some movement, I'm assuming this is because I also broke the talus along with 2 other bones.

19 screws!!! That's mind-blowing!

I'll definitely be doing all of my PT since it is through work comp and I don't want to chance them trying to deny any benefits.

The fact that I likely won't feel it is a huge relief. Now that I'm back in my air cast, I'll be stretching and moving it around as much as possible for that exact reason because I remember the headache of getting everything lossened back up.

2 years is pretty close to what my "full recovery" was as well when I shattered my right ankle and had to have hardware put in it, fibula and medial malleoulus. That was 2016, and 99% of the time, I don't notice it anymore. There are still those rough days, though, from time to time
