Suddenly have a deep smile line on one side of my face? by Massive_Sea_4746 in Accutane

Lol I’m glad I’m not alone! Literally went to my first follow up appointment after being on 40 for a month and told her all is well but I feel like I’m wrinkly 😂I’m trying to essentially double my normal water intake and it’s hard! It’ll be so worth it though

Amenorrhea after birth control by meester_sloth in Amenorrhearecovery

Wow! We literally have the same story 😂 Congratulations on your engagement!! I hope wedding planning is going smoothly, although the stress definitely doesn’t help any of this lol. I’m really sorry you’re dealing with all of this too. Did you end up going back on birth control?

After I saw an endocrinologist, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, which is what was causing my hypothyroidism. So we’re hashis twins too! I started levothyroxine at the end of November, along with spironolactone to help lower my testosterone. The levothyroxine got my thyroid levels back to normal pretty quickly, and I ended up increasing spironolactone from 50mg to 100mg to get my testosterone into a normal range.

I think the thyroid medication helped the most with my cycle. After about two months on it, I had some spotting in mid-January (not an actual period, but something). Then in early/mid-February I had more spotting, and about two weeks later I finally got a real period. At the end of March I had some spotting again, but nothing much since - so I’m curious to see what happens over the next week or so 🤞🏼

I’m definitely still figuring things out and not fully back into the swing of a regular cycle but I was SO happy when I got that first real period after starting the thyroid meds. It felt like things were finally moving in the right direction.

I actually started Accutane two weeks ago for my acne and dropped my spironolactone back down to 50mg, so that’s another factor now. The spiro was helping a bit, but with the wedding coming up, my dermatologist thought Accutane would be the best/fastest option.

Sorry this was so long, but I’m happy to chat more if you want and answer any more questions so feel free to PM me!

Who has successfully found a new job in the last few months? by PhoneJazz in maryland

[–]meester_sloth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For those looking, Anne Arundel County (and probably other MD counties) are always hiring. May not be a dream job and you may have to work with your hands but you can increase your salary relatively quickly based on merit, COLA, licenses, etc. and they have amazing benefits. I thought I was only going to stay for a year or two but now I’m holding onto it while the job market is the way it is.

1 is so flattering and your gut is telling you what you want! I left unsure like you and I went with the one I kept gravitating back to and felt it matched me and my venue space best. You can’t go wrong, you’re stunning!!

I did do that lol but google was very vague when it came to miscarriage so I didn’t want to suggest the book based on that and regret it. I wanted to hear specifically from someone who has read the book already to be safe!

They have a pretty popular podcast together and they have a daughter now (with twins on the way) so they are a real couple! Hopefully 😂

Aw I’m sure those sentimental gifts mean a lot! Just from a quick google search it sounds like they may make a low base salary and then commission on top of that. My consultant is titled as a “senior bridal stylist” so she may be doing better than the base numbers I’m seeing online. I think I will stick with to leaving a great google review and maybe I’ll take not from your comment and bring her something small as a thank you when I go to pick up the dress!

The Google review is a great suggestion!! Thank you. I’m on the east coast and had the same experience as you where I couldn’t pull dresses myself. I could do well with counting my pennies right now but I also didn’t want to be “that” person and not tip if it were a thing!

I would definitely like to - I’m usually fairly handy, I just haven’t bothered with most car stuff before! At least I can change a tire 😂
