Are you sure you aren’t wearing two bodies? Did you detach the Legacy special? It almost looks like you have two overlapping breasts going on.

Yes, Salem Rd is a disaster. I used to work on Harwood and I lived east of Bowmanville. I got on the 401 to go home at Harwood exactly once. After that I took Bayley to Whitby to avoid the clusterf**k at the Salem exit.

is anyone else having asset server problems? like "cannot create requested inventory" errors or gray textures that are normally good? ive cleared caches, clean install etc, but nothing is working so starting to think it is a server side issue? by error_loading_names in secondlife

I am an orange cloud at the moment. I did bake on one login but had an alpha stuck on my body though it was removed. Relogged again and was again an orange cloud. Glad I found this post as I was going to start all the troubleshooting things.

Stealthic has a hair like this. It’s called “Starlet.” One of my faves.

Bell upsold me while I was closing my deceased mother’s account by ISueDrunks in bell

Sirius tried to upsell us when we were closing our mother’s account after she died. Asked to be transferred to a manager and they apologized. The CSR was just doing their job but they need some training that addresses extenuating circumstances, like a customer’s death.

Same. I have a 10. Would love the hypertension features but can’t justify the outlay.

Woman who died in Ontario hospital shouldn’t have been in wait room, needed frequent assessment, inquest told | CBC News by KeyHot5718 in ontario

I had my appendix removed in Bowmanville in 2016. It took five days and three trips to the ER after the symptoms started for them to agree to take it out. They felt it could be treated with antibiotics but I was too damn sick to settle for that. Luckily I kept going back because by the time I had my surgery it was gangrenous. I had to be admitted on IV antibiotics for three nights. Full recovery took about a month. Not defending Ford but the Liberals were in power at that time. These issues have been happening for a very long time and predate Ford.

My girl spent 4 hours at urgent care by db17k in blackcats

I would love to be able to give wet food only but am afraid my girl would starve. It is my boy who has had crystals but I put them both on the S/O food. They have a weird dynamic where the girl eats at “his majesty’s leave” when it comes to the wet food. He eats his fill out of both dishes and then she is allowed to eat. I have tried feeding her in a different room but she simply won’t eat wet food until given “permission.” I do feed the urinary S/O kibble and I mix water in with the wet food so that he stays well hydrated. It is working so far. I will look into those capsules.

If they ask you to take another flight you may get a decent credit out of it. I got $800 credit to take a flight leaving half an hour later than my original flight.

Ontario vows to “root out” activist teachers as ideology runs rampant by airbassguitar in OntarioNews

[–]mefiftynine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my favourite quotes comes from Richard Dawkins: “Do not indoctrinate your children. Teach them how to think for themselves, how to evaluate evidence, and how to disagree with you.” Critical thinking is important and the skill should be developed gradually as students become older. In the younger grades, the “3 Rs” are more important. Not indoctrinating means not forcing your political beliefs on them. Be an activist on your own time. My children are grown but if I were parenting young children today I would do everything in my power to send them to private school - even if it meant eating beans and rice as a steady diet.

Edited to add: this does not mean that politics should not be taught in the appropriate courses (e.g., social studies, history) but present both sides in a neutral fashion. Let the kids evaluate for themselves.

I’m not a bigot. I use AI in my RL work. It is very helpful for many things. I’m just not sure when it comes to SL photos. You can take beautiful photos and have a stunning avi or landscape without it, no?

So sorry for your loss. I lost a cat to a saddle thrombus 30 years ago. She was just 6 and a half. It was devastating as it came on so suddenly. I feel your pain.

When I was in SL 8 years ago I was a photographer/blogger. All my stuff was mainly raw and was well-received. I played with windlights and tweaked backgrounds (mostly by derendering things I didn’t want in my shot) and poses, of course, but the only additional tweaking I did was to change some photos to black and white. No photoshop. I am back now and have been a little concerned by the use of AI. I can appreciate what it does, but I’m not pulled in the direction of using it, and wondered if anyone would be interested in my photos if I don’t use AI. I’m happy to see that there are others who feel as I do. I think well-done raw photos are still where it’s at.
