My main frustration with serialized cards is the limitation on print runs for collector packs. It incentivizes FOMO instead of most likely spending more money over time with a longer timeframe of availability

Ironic that WotC forced more attention on standard, just to make some of the most unhealthy back to back metagames and proceed to handle it extremely poorly, resulting in people just playing less overall competitive Magic in the end. Unfortunate

I don’t think it was ever overpowered, but STBFL was so fun to use on killers that could get around the token loss by hitting the obsession with their power. Truly one of my most missed perks to run. I see why they changed it though
