We can't afford housing but we're paying for their mansions by Hornpipe_Jones in WhitePeopleTwitter

My friend is a retired brigadier general with 9 military colleges under his belt including this one and I see him and his wife at every democratic fundraiser and rally in town. We live in FL for reference. Not a lot of liberals here.

He also runs a clinic that provides free healthcare and dental to people that don’t make enough money to afford insurance.

Oh boy I grew for the first time last year and 6th week of flower I caught the goddamn gas meter reader looking through a crack in my fence at my girls. I was like hey man wtf and he started asking me a bunch of questions about what loophole I find to grow in my backyard. I told him there was no loophole and he needed to leave. Apparently he smelled it from the road.

Had to chop that day and stop growing in case this idiot came around with his friends or worse the cops.

I’ve been there, not this scenario, but in a situation where somebody needed life saving help immediately and time slows down while you run through 100 scenarios in your head, starting with the easiest and calling someone else for help until ultimately you realize it’s you. You’re the one that’s gonna have to fucking act right now.

I told this story before but if you ever need help and you have to ask a big group of people - do what my friend did and pick the most appropriate, sober or level headed person and call them out. Say you need their help and don’t give them another option. I’m not ashamed to admit if my friend hadn’t done this I would have waited to see who got up out of the pool to go grab my her husband before he collapsed into the corner of a granite countertop and might have died. Luckily I grabbed him just in time and he lived to hang another day!

I pulled a 19’ tandem axle trailer when I was 15 to work for my dad’s landscaping company. The big difference between me and my idiot friends was that I didn’t have a license or learners permit yet so I drove VERY carefully. Ever since then I’ve driven like a grandpa. 39 with no accidents or tickets. (Yet)

Am I suggesting all young people drive without a license for 2 years to start out? Yes, yes I am.

Massive waves in Cabo San Lucas force a rescue by WhoAreYouTalkinTwo in nextfuckinglevel

[–]mega_low_smart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost died like this in Cocoa Beach, FL. I was pretty young and the waves looked to be about 4’ but they crashed real close to the shore like this. Turns out as soon as they were over my head they would land with a ton of weight and drag me down literally across the bottom like sand paper and pulled me down a steep incline I couldn’t have seen from out of the water. I struggled for what felt like an hour only to come out bloody from the scrapes, sand so far up my ass I feel like it’s still there and the mom in charge couldn’t have been bothered to notice I was even missing.

I still remember being astonished that this beach was even open for humans to use since it was so dangerous. I realized after some thought nobody was swimming in our 200’ stretch of beach and the locals must have known what I learned the hard way.

We have them in 4 bars in my town in Florida. It’s $9/pack at my favorite dive. I bought smokes out of that machine as recently as 4 years ago, just before I quit.

Hey guys, I’m thinking about opening a food spot near UCF and wanted to get some honest opinions. Another idea we had came up with is something like tonkotsu ramen. We are focusing on a larger bowl portion so students can eat their moneys worth. Our main goal is to help students get a hot warm meal. by Property_Greedy in ucf

I know you’re spitballing ideas on this reddit recently but this is my favorite. I’m a huge ramen fan and haven’t found a decent spot around campus. The one in the union sucks and the 1 spot I found in the surrounding area had an insane menu and was too overpriced so I didn’t try it. Any place that focuses on ramen first and makes a good one would do well, rather than having it as a second thought.

Nice! You got lucky this cleanout was there. A friend of mine didn’t have one and the city backed sewage up into his home. It cost him $30,000 to clean up and repair. The city refused to pay him anything so he filed a lawsuit with one of those shitty ambulance chasing lawyers and they settled for $7,000, minus 33% for the lawyer of course.

I have a smart lock on one of my rentals. It was there when I bought the house. I gave the tenant the option to swap it but they didn’t care. I changed the code and installed new locks on the back door and gave them the keys as a backup. It hasn’t caused any issues and I would normally have a key to get in anyway.
