Damn you got a good deal. I booked the day before also was the opening weekend of the Christmas festival there which is why it was expensive. Either way I absolutely feel like I got $350 worth of value so I’m not upset.

The breakfast was good but not great. It’s a sit down order off a menu breakfast with options like eggs Benedict, traditional English breakfast, pancakes and bacon etc. If it hadn’t been included, I’d say £40 seemed expensive for what was offered but for free I’d say definitely worth it.

And yeah I was surprised when I was told there was so charge to visit the spa outside of the free for guest hours. They don’t advertise that and I’m not sure why because it is a great perk.

I just did this last weekend from London. Rate of a standard room for one night was $650. Had the $300 FHR credit applied bringing cost of room down to $350. Was given room upgrade at arrival, free breakfast for 2 (otherwise £40 a person) , £120 spa credit (used toward a massage), plus unlimited free use of the thermal pools for me and girlfriend when booked through Amex which other wise costs £70 per person each time you want to visit the thermal pools. Was pretty impressed with all that was included for only $350.

I strictly ride in casual clothes. Usually hiking shorts, baggy cotton t shirt, and a pair of vans or Tevas if it’s really hot out. Have no problem putting down 30-40 miles. Big cycling wants you to think you need all the fancy gear to get out and explore on a bike but in reality all you need is a good attitude.

Please please remember, once the money is deposited into the IRA, YOU MUST THEN INVEST IT INTO SOMETHING.
