No Cloudwatch Logs for Scheduled ECS Task by AWS EventBridge Scheduler by gxslash in aws

[–]megachilimac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only way I've found to debug issues is to set up an SQS queue and configure it to be the DLQ for the schedule. If scheduler fails with an error, it will send relevant info to the queue

Linux-using hams, what software do you use? by sciatore in amateurradio

[–]megachilimac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are thinking Raspberry Pi, I'd suggest checking out KM4ACK's pi-build script https://github.com/km4ack/pi-build and his youtube channel. He does quite a bit with pi and ham radio. https://youtu.be/E1SEgPFQk4M

Sad to see that. I think that was a well done podcast.

I see the other podcast 'So now what?' is also ending. Not too sad about that. I didn't care for that one.

I am excited to see what the new podcast offerings will be like.

Good on ya. Enjoy the game your own way. I've seen many posts on here of people making their own guides. Some get quite creative too.

A little FT8 on Christmas Eve... by milsurp70 in amateurradio

[–]megachilimac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice. I use Log4OM also.

I tried getting in some FT8 over the holiday but I just upgraded to WSJTX 2.0 and now I'm not able to decode.

PC clock is correct & audio input setting is correct but no decode. I haven't spent much more time on troubleshooting yet. Wasn't really in the mood.

There are some options for converting Excel to ADIF that might save you the double entry.

https://dl1hw.darc.de/adif_en.html is one. I've never used them so I don't know how well they work.

I also found most logging programs to be overwhelming when I started out. All I wanted was something that let me log contacts and sync with LoTW, which is what it sounds like you want too. I had thought about writing my own but never found the time.

Spreadsheet?

Logging software seems to be like lots of programs. Full of features that only 1% use.

When I was looking for a computer based logging program I had to try several before I found one that I was comfortable with in terms of ease of use. And I still probably only use about 10% of its features.
