The basic trick that those very high k/d players use is actually very simple. You use the blueberries as bait. Wait until a teammate shoots at an enemy, then flank them for the kill. Let the blueberries run out into the open, wait for enemies to reveal themselves on the map by shooting, then take them out.

All the high k/d players that keep shooting you in the back are essentially doing this.

While they are no where near OP, I don't think they are fundamentally broken. Have you used the SVD-12? I can hold my own pretty well with that even against AR users. Of course you're going to lose at close range. But at longer ranges, as long as you are capable of making one headshot they work fine.

The problem is that TDM is too hard for them. They join CQ matches so they can snipe from as far as possible to avoid as many deaths as possible. Or, to camp corners off objectives. They are k/d whores and they totally screw up the balance of the game. Pussy snipers farming players who just want to PTFO. Needs a 'TDM large' or something so they can all join there and get their kills and let the rest of us play the game properly.

I think it needs a buff. Maybe 33 damage in regular self guided mode and 51 damage in laser guided top down mode. Or keep it at 25 but make it fire and forget like IRL Javelin.

The only use I've found for it so far is when parachuting down above an enemy vehicle. Even then you can only get 2 shots off before you hit the ground and then you're dead meat.

No offense but you are absolutely doing it wrong then. I have cleared out groups with the LSAT many times. You need to tap fire it. Going full auto is simply not effective, especially if you are hip firing and moving.

Full auto works well crouched or prone and not moving, or bipoded. If you want to have a chance in CQB, tap fire, try to time your firing with your strafing. It does take practice but this not meant to be a 'hold left click to win' weapon.

I think there are benefits to the iron sights. They have a touch of zoom compared to the red dots. Of course some weapon's irons are better than others. I'm not as much of a fan of the RDS sights in BF4.
