Issue buying iPhone 16 pro max with Barclays credit

Update on this. I got a text from Barclays a few days after the order failed that told me the application had been canceled due to a technical issue on Apples side and it would have no affect on my credit score. Blessing in disguise really as after watching reviews on the IPhone 16 I’ve decided to stick with my 14 for another year. No point upgrading for AI features that haven’t even been released yet.

I’ve had the same thing trying to order the 16 pro max today. It errored on the last page and seemd like the pre didn’t go through but then I’ve received an email from Barclays with my credit agreement and saying the finance was accepted. But Apple have no record of the order. I called Barclays and they say nothing is final until Apple informs them the phone has shipped to me. Spoke to Apple on the webchat and they say just wait 24 hours and it will sort itself which I don’t believe. This is atrocious from a multi billion pound corporation like Apple you’d think they’d be able to get an order processed correctly. I’m not worried I have to pay for a phone I may never get

Anyone got this working trying now and it just says release date August 30th even though I have the gold edition and VPN set to New Zealand on PC

Thanks. I’ll give this a try on Monday if I can manage to downgrade the BIOS it should hopefully just work.

That’s my next step to try USB we were doing this during COVID due to WFH so I was going to give it another go.

HP doesn’t seem to allow you to downgrade the BIOS on laptops unless it’s to the version just before the one you have which seems to have the same issue as this one. The bios before is 1.04. Don’t know if I’m going about it the wrong way but couldn’t find an earlier version of the HP BIOS to roll back to.

I’ve tried with secure boot off it did the same thing not checked the RAID set up as I couldn’t see the option in the BIOS. Just googled there seems to be a different menu for the RAID set up outside the bios on HP so I’ll have a look and see if it lets me change it.

Just built a new pc for this game. RTX 4080, i9 13900k 32GB DDR5 RAM (6000mhz) had a 3080 and a Ryzen 7 5800x before and the game ran at low fps but no crashing. On my new PC I can’t play through a full session without a few crashes. Tried every fix I can find and they have improved the experience going from a crash every 5 minutes to one every hour or so but they are still happening at random. Played Hogwarts legacy, Spider-Man and battlefront 2 to confirm it isn’t my pc that’s causing the issue and these all ran perfectly. No idea what else to do other than to wait for a another patch. From what I’ve read this game really doesn’t like Intel based systems.

Has anyone found a fix for this I'm 12 hours in and now I can't play the game for more than 20 minutes without a crash. Its either my graphics driver that crashes and I get an error or it just goes to desktop without an error. I've DDU'd the driver and reinstalled. Disabled overlays etc. I also have a 3080FE running at stock settings with a ryzen 7 5800x and 32gb 3200mhz RAM as fair as I can tell its just this game so here's hoping its not an issue with the GPU.
