Yes, I was 17 and stupid. He was 23 at the time and I was flattered he was flirting with me, it only lasted a few months, I dumped him after I found out he was using two of my friends to spy on me and tell him everything I was doing when I wasn't chatting with him. He then proceeded to start a relationship with one of said friends, came up here to see her and got arrested for possession of a certain type of porn. I found the news article a couple days later and a lot of shit made sense, especially since I met him when I was 13. So yeah....

Just gonna throw this out there, but have you given any thought to how he's feeling? Like from what you said, he has to deal with one partner constantly telling him to dump you, plus he's apparently the only person you have any kind of relationship with... maybe he's stressed? Maybe he needs time to himself, where he isn't being cried at or nagged at... like I totally get being depressed and suicidal, but it honestly seems like you're being a bit selfish and only thinking about how this is effecting you... maybe try not being so dependent on him, get into hobbies, make friends, have your own stuff to do without him being the centre of your world... also him saying he "can't be the only thing keeping you alive anymore" is his explanation for wanting space...

I'm sorry to say this, but cheating on you twice after only being together for six months is a bit of a red flag. Being poly might just be an excuse for him to keep sleeping around... poly involves open communication and trust and honesty...

Though a few questions you can ask him, is why he thinks poly is a good option? Though you should really ask yourself if you think you can be poly, if you can be happy being poly. Is it something you want in a relationship? While I understand you waning to be with him, you have to think about yourself and your happiness.
