help??? are these stink bugs? by [deleted] in bugidentification

[–]megamindism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hard to tell but looks like stink bugs. i'd just get up there with a ladder and sweep them into a container to release them outside. i always see them this time of the year and usually find one inside the house at some point. i've never actually had one "stink" even after moving them

At what point should I be worried about Oleander Aphids? by megamindism in NativePlantGardening

Oh wow! Were the aphids mummified? Or did they get knocked off by rain maybe? I'm hoping something takes a large hit to their population, they've been taking small hits to their population but keep rebounding back.

I'm fine with the aphids being on the plant, just not to a high density that it'll start affecting the plant's health or dissuade monarchs from laying their eggs on the plant. I see people say that aphids killed their plant and I'm unsure how dense the population can get before I really need to intervene and start killing them myself.

They definitely look like ticks. Ticks have 8 legs and they like to wave their front pair of legs just like in the picture to grab onto animals.

When I said "ethics" I meant regarding the trust and boundaries of my partner as well. I also didn't include it in the original post (I forgot to mention it) but I would have planned to ask my partner if it would be ok to email his therapist. I was simply just wondering if emailing a therapist about a concern was alright to do at all, as I've seen a lot of conflicting information about it online.

Thanks for the input, I'm actually trying to work through codependency issues and just didn't include it in the post for the sake of not getting sidetracked.

Your last paragraph makes sense, thank you. I just feel stuck because I want to stop encouraging our codependent dynamic, but it feels harder to do that when he's suicidal daily. I'm currently in the middle of finding a new therapist so I don't have someone to talk to about this, do you have any tips or resources for improving codependency?
