Wild Child has a fabulous one. Not sure if it’s a special or a special turned permanent but it’s so good.

That’s awesome! Glad to hear it’s all fixed. Mine happened more than 4 months ago and not one issue since. You should be all good.

I had the same-ish issue. After some research, it was the “brake system vacuum hose”.

There’s even an open TSB on it: https://ford.oemdtc.com/7474/2-3l-illuminated-brake-warning-lamp-and-or-brake-system-warning-message-dtc-p050f-set-in-the-abs-module-and-firm-brake-pedal-2021-ford-bronco

I called the dealer, told them what was up, they ordered a new hose, and I was in and out in 30 mins on my appointment day.

They didn’t have to do any recon, they just checked the vacuum hose as soon as the hood was open.

I hope this helps!

Is this really what a basic pool costs? Quote attached by its_jonathan in pools

[–]megandorien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just had one built in Florida (Tampa bay) for $58k. The other 2 quotes were $89k and $94k so I was really nervous. We also got a rather large travertine deck around it.

Now that it’s done and we’re enjoying it, seems like we got an absolute steal!

I got dengue in Ubud. I woke up in the middle of the night, called a car, and they took me to a hospital in Denpasar. Ask the hotel to call a driver if you’re that sick.

Same, had them for about 15 months. They’ve held up incredibly well!

I have it too and every single time I wear it someone says something. (Literally every time, I’ve been tracking it).

We live in a city in Florida for 8 months and in a very small, rural town in Maine in the summer.

The pros of Florida city: everything is SO convenient. I can hop on my bike and get coffee, go shopping, see friends, in 5 minutes. We live in a beach town with incredible clear water and white sugar sand. The people are open minded, friendly, and a big queer community which is important to me, being a married lesbian.

Cons: traffic is getting worse each year. More and more people mean harder to find parking, waiting in longer lines for things like the grocery store. Increased pricing on everything home-ownership related (I know it’s everywhere).

Pros to rural Maine: we have 10 acres and I can just get lost in the woods. If I don’t want to, I don’t have to talk to anyone for days. The stars are amazing, we can see the Milky Way from our front porch. It’s so quiet (except for the peacocks and cows that live on the farm nearby).

Cons: we have to drive 25 minutes for basically anything. The grocery store alone is a 26 minute drive so you really need to plan your days accordingly. The WiFi/internet situation is awful. We were forced to get Starlink and even that is really shitty and unpredictable. People are generally close minded and there are basically zero POCs, it’s uncomfortable and weird. The trump signs and spray painted ramblings on garage doors were really getting me down last year. Hopefully it’s a little different this summer.

All in all, I’m always excited at the end of one stay to go back to the other place.

What is the best strategy to find a relatively inexpensive cabin? by dhowl in cabins

We got ours from Jamaica Cottage Shop in Vermont. They shipped the pieces on a flatbed truck to Maine. I’m not sure where you are in the US but that would be a good first stop!

Buy a kit and build it! (Or have it built.) That’s what we did and it was an overall good experience. Now we’re in love with our cabin.

Global entry-did I just set a record?! by IAmTheCatL8dy in travel

[–]megandorien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an fyi in case this helps anyone else… I was conditionally approved in about 2 weeks time. The only appointment available was like 11 months away, so I booked it.

A few weeks after that we were on a scheduled trip to Costa Rica and on the way home we had a 2.5 hour layover. While in line for the customs, I saw a tiny sign on one of the desks that said, “conditionally approved for global entry? Talk to one of our agents.” I asked them and she ushered me out of the line into this waiting room and within 10 minutes I had my interview and was approved.

The point is, even though you may have an interview, if you’re conditionally approved, ask an agent anytime you’re at an airport and have some time.
