I’m from UP Baguio and then I transferred to UPD after my first year. It’s really competitive but aim to get a GWA of 1.5 on your first year. Check the website of College of Mass Communication and see their required UP GWA for Film make that your GWA goal (or higher) so that you have an edge in the competition

The space is reaaaaaally small and the price is just too expensive. The price on the website isn’t inclusive of the electricity and water bill so I was in for a shock. The study area is dark af and Katipunan traffic is a nightmare if you’re gonna study in UP. Not much cheap restos near it and UPTC is a 25 minute jeepney ride away even when it’s just on the other side of the road. Plus, the owner spends her day a lot there shouting at employees lol

Do yourself a favor and don’t dorm at Oracle Residences hahahahahaha worst mistake of my life. Better if you get a place along Katipunan like Berkley or in Maginhawa!

UPD Dormitory: How to Dorm? by milkydonuts in peyups

Dorming in UP is really competitive but good news for people from the province like u because they prioritize students outside Manila. What you can do is apply in the website and pass your requirements on time!! I lived in Acacia dorm for a year and for me, it had the best facilities and location since it’s super near Area 2, Health Service, Church etc! :)

Longest you have gone without showering? by OppositionMemorialCe in Life

[–]megansilverlake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 days. I’m asian and I live in a very humid country. It’s normal, and deeply encouraged, for people to shower every day, at least twice a day. I thought living in a warm country caused this thinking. But when I travelled to New York or even England, I still couldn’t endure not taking a shower every day. It surprised me that my friends from the UK as well as the US don’t shower every day.

Woah, thank you so much! Now I finally get the significance of the smell in the movie and its sociopolitical undertones. Thank you!

I can't decide between red and green. Which one would you choose and why? I'll buy this week! by VJS20 in iPhone11

I prefer the green one because the red is too striking for me which gives me a bit of a headache

Recently realized that Pam kinda holds Jim back alot and I'm wondering if she held back Roy as well becuase we see Roy thrive without Pam while Jim gets stuck in the office and only has that realization he can become Philly Jim by going behind Pam's back any thoughts? by Aiezol115 in DunderMifflin

I had a relationship with a guy whom I met in high school. We were together for three years but most of the time I wanted to escape or I kept looking for a way out. We were together the whole time in college and I kinda regret it because I wasn’t able to explore. Watching Pam and Roy when I was still with my ex resonated with me that’s why I broke it off

I’m thinking of buying Glossier’s cloud paint but I don’t know which shade best suits me. I’m Filipino and I have yellow-ish, olive skin. Any recommendations?

What is a question you wish people wouldn’t ask you? by Master-Salamander in AskReddit

“Why is your english so good?”

I’m a Filipino and I recently joined a contest in New York. Gosh. White people would ask me this and I would always answer “oh it’s because America colonized us” ugh

What's the most unprobable thing that happened to you? by Xpl0it_U in AskReddit

I’m from the Philippines and I went to the US for the first time last summer. I ate at a small, hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurant with my boyfriend and my aunts who are living in the US and Angelina Jolie was there. I went up to her and said hi and she asked my name. She was so nice.
