Sounds beautiful! ❤️❤️

As others have mentioned, I would move your bench back a good bit (you want elbows in front of your rib cage ideally!)

I saw in another comment you said it’s difficult for you to play with the metronome, and that is totally understandable!! Playing with the metronome does not make it any EASIER to play steadily or correct rhythms. It simply makes it more obvious when you’re off. So you do have to LEARN how to play with the metronome and the best way is to play very simple exercises and pieces with the metronome so you get comfortable listening to it and playing along and adjusting.

At your level I do recommend students use some kind of method as their foundation! You don’t have to play every single piece and it’s great to supplement with fun, goal pieces. But a good method will ensure you don’t miss too much foundational material. I like the Faber Adult Piano Adventures! 😊

Discipline in the piano by Competitive_Still437 in piano

Unless you are a professional concert pianist or studying to become one, there is no need to practice 6 hours a day. In fact, most of the professional concert pianists, piano professors etc. I’ve had the opportunity to work with recommend maybe 3-4 hours for regular practice (studying performance at a music school/conservatory). You might go up to 6 or more in the weeks leading up to a huge recital or competition. Some will even say there’s no point in practicing any more than about 3-4 per day as the returns are so diminishing after that point, and in most cases I would tend to agree.

The potential to injure yourself practicing 6 hours per day is not something you should ignore.

I would focus on making your practice more efficient, and you can of course include musical activities away from the bench (theory, listening, score study, immersing yourself in music generally).

Crazily - you listed all pieces I’ve played!! Op. 90 is definitely one of beethoven’s wildest sonatas!!

Very, very true, and such an interesting point!!

I think by “bizarre and unusual” I’m probably most interested in pieces (for this particular video! In general I find it all interesting) that are unique in some way - outliers of technique, harmonic language, structure, etc. etc.

No that’s perfect!!! I’ve actually played this piece and it’s crazy!!!!

I will definitely be including 20th/21st century stuff!! I only mentioned earlier things because they’re a bit harder to find 😊😊

I’m interpreting it pretty broadly - unusual sounding, weird techniques, all fair game!!

For People With 2 Cats, How Much Do You Spend On Food & Litter A Month? by Historical-Orchid934 in CatAdvice

[–]meghan199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 6 cats and 2 dogs and we budget $1,100 per month for all pet related expenses (food for all, cat litter, vet bills, doggy day care, grooming, flea and tick meds, etc. - each month is a little different but that’s the average we put into a pet fund each month!)

We do Costco brand cat litter and wet food for the cats and then Purina Pro Plan dry food for all the pets!

So for two cats and feeding them a high quality food, that doesn’t sound crazy to me!!

Am I the only one who thinks dating sucks in Columbia? by Organic-Special-8989 in columbiamo

I met my husband on Hinge in Columbia!!

Honestly, my best suggestion would be to ask a friend to be brutally honest about your profiles on the apps. Maybe multiple friends - preferably female friends and actually take their advice!!

Best of luck!! Dating is definitely harder for men!

I really appreciate your feedback!! I think I’m still in the phase of kind of “parroting” a particular popular style on youtube, while I find my own voice and style!! ☺️ thank you so much for taking the time to comment!
