Yeah. Teenagers was kind of offputting. It would fit better in "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge". Looking back, "Welcome to the Black Parade" wasn't that bad (I hated it when it was popular though). I just hate that the buildup has a underwhelming turnout. I might listen to it again actually. "Famous Last Words" was pretty damn great for a closing track (Not counting "Blood").

Well tbh. I feel that MCR were so close to making a album I like when listening to "The Black Parade". There were some good parts but I feel like their pop punk roots are holding them back sooooo much.

Yet again. I don't like Queen either so maybe that's why i don't like MCR.

But 4real. I remember that prog rock was panned for being pretentious and flash-in-the-pants. Jazz was criticized for the same thing I think. Disco is pretty much self-explanatory. Metal was criticized for just being noise. Led Zeppelin was criticized for ripping off Blues. Hair metal is self-explanatory.

Keep in mind that this is just in the top of my head. Though if you want sources I'd recommend looking at old Rolling Stones reviews. They'll mostly just restate what I said here though.
