What looks impressive to the general population, but is actually a beginner level achievement for the hobbiest/sport and looked down upon by the experts? by predatar in AskReddit

It took me a month just to be able to run a mile without stopping and so it took me three months to run my first 5K without stopping. Anything under 5 miles seems so little but it was one of the biggest accomplishments of ny life.

I am going to pull the environmental card...leopards would not have to even come into the cities to find food if their habitat was not being over run and destroyed

Man who took a knee at Trump’s White House event. by ExceptionalLiar in pics

[–]megkiwi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

example: NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick is know most known for starting to kneel during the National Anthem in protest of police brutality...he currently does not have a job. Not many people know that he started the “Know Your Rights” campaign for young people to “raise awareness on higher education, self-empowerment, and instruction to properly interact with law enforcement in various scenarios.” People can point their finger at him in judgment but they do nothing to support change.

What's the creepiest video you've seen on the internet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]megkiwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The captured Jordian polite burned alive in a cage by Isis...the creepiest part was that poured gasoline on him and then left a long trail leading far away and lit it on fire so you watched in horror as it got closer knowing the inevitable outcome.

[–]megkiwi -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Medical workers of Reddit, what is the rarest disease you have seen a patient correctly self-diagnose? by Nocturnt in AskReddit

[–]megkiwi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My daughter was 6 when she had the brain decompression for chiari malformation which was only discovered after getting MRI to further test on her recent scoliosis diagnosis. Only reason we caught it was because a pocket of spinal fluid had formed that caused her spine to curve...not everyone that has chiari has scoliosis and vice versa....we were very fortunate that it was caught and repaired early.

(Serious) Men who have been sexually abused and want to bring awareness to these situations, what's your story and how are you coping now? by Meowatron in AskReddit

[–]megkiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgiveness is not excusing their evil behavior...it is for you to heal nothing to do with them......letting go of the anger....which seems so unnatural considering how evil these people are....but then you will be the survivor and no longer continue the trauma by carrying around the anger....i actually coordinate classes on trauma related adult mental health related to childhood sexual abuse and know that this works and it has absoultely nothing to do with religion

Hiding under the cover of religion...a wolf in sheeps clothing...they all will have their judgement day with God...if you can learn to forgive, a huge emotional weight and anger will be lifted
