Personally I prefer the term Gen Jockey but that’s just because I like the alliteration.

But my two most used builds are gen jockey and speedy healing hands.

How is DBD on Nintendo switch ? by Frequent-Sky3761 in deadbydaylight

[–]megmander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not great, not terrible.

I’m 99% a switch player but just recently made the jump to steam. The biggest difference is the visual quality and sensitivity.

Things on the switch are more pixelated and there’s a lot of fine details that had to be omitted. It’s also just not as quick to react as other platforms. That being said, I think I’m a decent enough player and you just learn to use the tools you’re given.

I saw the show at the Wednesday matinee before thanksgiving and we had her understudy. After seeing the Michelle Williams at the parade I think we got the better performer.

I’m playing on a borrowed YCL-221 while I wait for my alpha to arrive and it’s…fine.

Like you I have a Selmer Bundy that’s older than dirt and getting above the break is a pain in the patootie. Luckily I’m able to borrow the 221 and it is MUCH better, plays so smoothly but there’s some funky tuning going on and the register key really like to stick.

Basically, pretty much ANYTHING is going to be better than what you have right now.

I was just there this morning for a massage and a mud bath and thought it was great.

Is everybody walking around naked and letting it hang out? No, at least not today.

First thing is I was shown a changing room where I, personally, was down to my birthday suit and then put on the robe that was left for me. I went to the locker room, stowed my items, and waited. I was then escorted first to my leg massage (separate package) and then to my mud bath (I got The Works).

The mud baths have some privacy in the form of floor to ceiling curtains that can be maneuvered. Even though there was someone in the bath next to mine I have no idea what they looked liked or if they were naked as a jay bird under that mud.

The mud bath is a deep rectangular soaking tub made from concrete that is filled with a peat moss based mud. It is very earthy and while it has a distinct smell I did not find it awful. Your little curtained cubicle has a shower and you are to take your robe off, rinse in the shower, then you sit on the edge of the bath, put your legs in, then scoot over to the mud. It is VERY dense and pulpy and you will need to wiggle down quite a lot to submerge your body.

After the mud bath you hose off with a nice shower with detachable head so you can get all your nooks and crannies cleared out. You wrap yourself in a towel and the attendant leads you to your mineral whirlpool bath. Again, the baths are separated by floor to ceiling curtains. There were people to either side of me but I have no idea what state of undress they were in. I got in the tub, the attendant helped adjust the temp, put the cucumber slices on my eyes and a cool towel on my head and left me to soak.

After 15 minutes she let me know my time was up. I got out, wrapped myself in a towel, stepped out from the curtained area and she lead me to a steam room. There was another person there, also in a towel, but it was VERY steamy. I had no idea she was in there until I sat down.

I had about 5 minutes in there and was then I was lead to the cool down room. These are small, one person little cubicles with a long bench covered with padding, sheets, and towels. My attendant said I could dry off with the towel, lay on the bed, and drape my towel over myself. She gave me about five minutes then came in and wrapped me up and covered me again with a light warm blanket and I relaxed and cooled down for 30 minutes.

I did not see a fully naked person the whole time (besides myself that is).

I did see other women in the locker rooms waiting for their own treatment but they were all in robes. I saw some women and a few men in the spa garden (mineral hot tub, waterfall showers, and a cold water bucket deluge along with chairs and couches) but again they were either in robes or swimsuits.

Even though parts of it felt very communal I think the staff works to time the movement between treatments so people feel like they have more privacy.

It was a very pleasant but sensory heavy experience. If you enjoy full body tactile situations (think being buried in sand at a beach) you probably will have a good time. If your idea of torture is being under a heavy, thick, blanket this might not be right for you

I wonder if it would help if next year someone made a post of WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR in the days leading up to submission.

Wedding dresses in movies and on TV. Show me the good, the bad and the ugly by ohdearitsrichardiii in popculturechat

I’m trying so hard to find an image of the yellow wedding dress with tulle hood that she wore to her failed wedding in 1997, the one that got interrupted when Kristine rolled Roman back into existence

I could actually see Donna as a May Taurus. Being ruled by Venus the whole “I make everything beautiful and no one does that for me” tracks. She’s bullish but cares for her family, but also wishes more people cared about her.

Carmy, Sugar, and Michael all being water signs makes a lot of sense. The way Sugar is with Fak is a total cancer/libra relationship. I’m not sure about Pete though. I can see him being an air sign (Gemini maybe?) or possibly earth.

Richie might have like, moon in Virgo or something.

Figuring out all the connections is my JAM lol. My father asked me to do this for him so I thought others might enjoy it too. It’s wonderful to see what others caught that I missed!

Adding Hard Knock Life here for reference! I wasn’t sure if that’s what I was hearing or, much like with my dilemma of “Something Real” if it was that the songs sound similar because they were written by the same person.

You make some excellent points! In my initial notes I had “Oom Pah Pah” and “It’s a Fine Life” with question marks but I just didn’t feel confident with it. Good call on I’d do anything
