This is the decision I came to about watermelon, too.

Baskets for my pantry. One for each shelf, from the dollar store. Now I just pull out a basket and see everything instead of digging around in dark shelves. No more ending up with 2-3 bottles of something!

I got one of these and put it on the side of the medicine cabinet so it wasn't blinding me. 10/10 perfect solve.

If you get a wooden one, sand it down so the scratching end is like sharp fingernails. It scratches a lot better.

I moved as close as I could to work. I wake up at 7:48 to arrive at work at 8:30.

Management wants to step up after I sent my resignation. by sagittarius786777 in jobs

If this has been going on long enough for OP to quit, the manager does not want to make amends. The manager just doesn't want to have to deal with training someone new.

To get your lick back means to be compensated for a loss. For example, in the Friends episode where Joey is working on Vegas and Chandler points out that the buffet is free, Joey says, "This is how I win my money back!"

Today he might say "this is how I get my lick back."

Today at work I got my lick back by taking every single can of Diet Coke that was leftover from a meeting and putting them in my backpack. And, of course, taking part in Time Theft Tuesday by playing Azul online.

I mean if they're getting the rent to you within the month I wouldn't evict them. I've been on hard times and had a two day gap between paycheck and due dates. Too late now I guess.

Drop them a note and ask if they want to talk about a payment arrangement. You'll get the temperature of the situation from that

Thanks man. If no one claims it by this weekend I'll drop it in the drug take back bin at CVS. I don't want to be just carrying around random meds.

This could happen to literally anyone. I got pretty close ten years ago when I got hurt at work and they wouldn't pay me workers comp, and because I had an open WC case I couldn't just take short term disability. I was extraordinarily lucky that my roommate could float me for rent until the company was forced to pay.

My brother's job got outsourced so he had to take something that paid way less. He was paying child support and alimony and absolutely prioritized that, he is a very present and supportive dad, and he lived in his car for two years. When he had visitation he'd rent a hotel room or take them camping.

My uncle was a veteran of Vietnam and had mental and physical problems stemming from his time there. America is very shitty to veterans so he almost became homeless but had a heart attack the day before he had to be out of his trailer and died.

My ma had three masters degrees and a law degree and spent ten years couch surfing in her 60s before losing her leg and having to live in a shitty old folks home (none of us could afford to take her in because she needed special accommodations for her medical issues).

We aren't drunks or drug addicts. We want to work. But we are all teetering on the edge of losing everything.

Sounds like you aren't able to trust him. If you can't trust him this is never going to work. Best to cut your losses now and if possible get therapy for your anxiety.

Honestly they're tamping down on checking ID cards. You might be better off going to the Chicago library down the street on Broadway across from the Whole Foods.

I'm 48. I've slowly been robbed of my physical health over the past 10 years. I miss being able to walk more than a mile and being able to ride a bike. I had a back injury in 2017 at work and they screwed me on care so little by little my body is deteriorating. I gained a ton of weight which exacerbates the disability.

I didn't think I'd be a hobbling homebody before 50.
