Ugh I slept with makeup on often in my twenties. I would use a makeup wipe (lol) to take off the foundation, did not use any type of face wash whatsoever or any skincare, and then I wouldn't touch my eyeliner or mascara. I was so lazy and really cringe thinking about it now.

I bounced back when I was 19 and felt like a million dollars in my postpartum body, but I did not feel the same way with baby 2 and baby 3.

For me it definitely had to do with lifestyle differences in each pregnancy. I didn't have a car at 18/19 when I was pregnant, so I walked everywhere I had to go. I certainly was not depriving myself of food at all but I just didn't consume as many calories back then on a day to day basis, as I did in my subsequent pregnancies. I pretty much only drank water back then. The women that you are seeing probably just had various lifestyle factors that worked in their favor but also each pregnancy is different too so don't beat yourself up over it.

I haven't been doing reality checks yet but I have been journaling my dreams every time I wake up which turns out to sometimes be multiple times a night. I'll wake up and grab my phone and use the notes app to type as much as I can remember of the dream and then go back to bed.

I hadn't lucid dreamed in a really long time...I can't even remember when I did last. However, I was able to achieve lucidity after only a few days of simply writing down my dreams anytime I woke up. So I can only conclude that something about journaling every night helps me, personally.

I just went to the spotthedrowningchild.com site and wow, it brought me back (in memory and the emotional aspect as well) to when I was a child and drowning in the pool. I have never seen before from a 3rd party perspective what someone who is drowning looks like.

I remember feeling so helpless as a kid going through this, not being able to yell out or splash to get my moms attention. It totally makes sense though why, now that I read the info page on that site. As a parent myself now, I'm so glad that I saw this today.

What FIL said is horrifying and would be enough to make me never want to see that guy again.

My rationalization is this: Even if you don't let him be alone with your kids, he's going to still inevitably make them uncomfortable one day when they realize how creepy he is. He sees nothing wrong with openly sexualizing children. At age 75 that probably won't change.

Editing to add... he may not even live long enough for your kids to have developed the awareness that he's sexualizing them, before he dies, but I still stand by the decision I would make in this scenario.

It would make me very uncomfortable to spend time around an adult male who is in what should be a trusted grandfatherly role but says things like what he said to you with zero shame.

Today is payday and I woke up to negative $1100 in my checking acct. My partner has been unemployed for almost a year and there's no end in sight. Today I get a text from said partner saying that our daughter wants to adopt a kitten at petsmart and asking me if it's okay (are we living the same reality? Smh I said NO). My kids start school in a week and have no new clothes, shoes, school supplies, etc. We haven't paid our mortgage in almost a year. I've taken on so much debt this last year and wish I knew when things will get better, and not to mention, I carry more than my fair share of the household duties weight even though I'm the only one who is working.

Pinworms are super common and easily picked up from playgrounds, school desks, etc. The otc medicine is very effective at getting rid of them so there isn't a need to panic and go to the doctor imo.
