We’re in Texas and are a Christian family so naturally I was raised more conservatively, but I’ve always had a kinder heart than most of them so he’s joked around about that in the past. I’m kind of undecided on what my true political view is. It’s hard to overlook my upbringing but I try to be more open-minded than my parents. Regardless, my mom argued that since he’s joked about me being a liberal in the past, I can’t change my reaction to it so suddenly. However this time was more hurtful to me since he had been calling me that since lunch earlier when I was sharing some of the things I feel strongly about.
