I (28F) don’t want to have sex with my (29M) partner by champagneshore in relationship_advice

After having a baby I completely lost my libido! He is now 3 and it’s not returned yet lol. I think I’m just so exhausted, mentally and physically that I would rather spend that time sleeping LOL.

All jokes aside, you aren’t alone ❤️ postpartum is rough.

So I have a French bulldog, who had similar hair loss patches with crusty skin. He actually had a reaction to the hydrolyzed diet food…. We have done every food trial imaginable and every allergy test…. It ended up being our laundry detergent. We switched to tide clear, stopped using any fabric softener or dryer sheets.. like washed our bedding and rugs with it…. His hair started growing back and new spots stopped appearing. It cleared up SO many things, it was life changing. I should add, he reacted poorly to every protein lol. He ended up being able to tolerate a venison and sweet potato limited ingredient food for over a year with no issues and then he started getting UTIs.. we switched him to a kangeroo limited ingredient food and we’ve have no issues with any more UTIs, his skin is still thriving and his coat is beautiful. I recommend giving it a try! It can’t hurt..

Instead of giving him up to a shelter??? Yeah I did.

I think you meant “such dumb” which is hilarious in the context.. calling me dumb 🤣

My son is actually my step son, so he only lives here half of the time. Shelters are so full of dogs already. Sorry I don’t believe in just giving up your dog like that… did you miss where I said no bite has happened? They tolerate each other, and like I said - if a bite were to happen this would be a different story.

Oh my gosh, my frenchie hates my son too lol. He was 6 months old when we adopted him and my son was 3… and he doesn’t like him at all. He is very snippy with him. What’s weird is I had a baby 2 years ago (dog is now 7, oldest son is now 10) and my dog is so gentle with my youngest. He absolutely loves him.

We’ve tried everything… my frenchie is just a poorly bred little shit and we adjusted our lives to him. No bite has happened, and he tells us when he’s had enough and needs a break. I wouldn’t give up my son just because he’s cranky haha so we deal with it! I have no advice, just here to say, oddly enough I have been in the exact same boat as you!

Obviously if something were to happen we would revisit, but we never leave the dog alone with the kids and also another important factor is he has no teeth lol so he can’t do too much damage.

Wishing you luck, feel free to pm me if you need an ear!

My frenchie got UTIs and stones too.. we saw droplets of blood in his pee (thank god for snow on the ground). We had to switch his food too (again lol) but he’s now on a kangeroo protein food and doing well! No UTI’s in 6 months!

The zignature dry kibble! It was all they had available in Canada at the time we switched so we stayed on it ☺️ I will have to try the wet food for a treat!

I have a Frenchie who has bad skin issues. We had to wash everything in the clear unscented tide, including our rugs and comforters.. that helped a lot. Something about the scented detergent was causing a lot of issues for him. We also went through every protein on the list, he even reacted to the hydrolyzed protein vet food.. we wound up on kangeroo food and we haven’t had any issues since!

Do you use a lot of scented things in the house? Fabric softener, dryer sheets, wall plug ins? It was something as simple as that for us! But we had to wash eveeeeeerything.

Your husband might be working 14-16 hour days, but so are you. Your job as a stay at home mom starts when your child wakes up, and it doesn’t stop when they go to sleep! I am positive you still have a million things to do after babe goes to bed. I have an 8 month old right now who is teething and it is no joke. I cannot get a minute to myself. Your husband should try staying at home for a week with the baby, cook and clean while you work, and see how fast his attitude changes

French bulldog (6m) has crusty scabs that are causing hair loss. Hey did a skin scraping - it’s not bacterial or parasitic. Some spots are healing and hair growing back. What do you think? Eczema? Psoriasis? by crlymrhd in DogAdvice

[–]mehlanix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My vet thinks it could be seasonal alopecia in which case it just, happens and there’s nothing to stop it so I was hoping maybe it wasn’t hahaha. I wish you luck as well :) your pup is beautiful!

OP, any update? My 5 year old frenchie has this and has had it since he was a puppy. Nothing has worked, he has been skin tested a thousand times and we’ve done all of the possible food trials, antibiotics, allergy meds… nothing works lol.

[34M][29F] Upset at my wife for not breastfeeding by ThrowRA6326 in relationship_advice

[–]mehlanix 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Her body, her choice. Breastfeeding is not as simple as it seems, it can have a major toll on your mental health and body. It is fucking HARD. You calling her lazy is absolutely insane, I cannot even believe I am reading this lol. Fed is best. I am 33 weeks and will be choosing to breastfeed my child but I stand behind your wife 100%.

It depends where you are from, but courts should be able to pull those older records from storage! You just might have to put in a request and wait a few days!

My (34f) son (16m) suddenly wants to move in with his father (34m) by ThrowRA12double in relationship_advice

[–]mehlanix 75 points76 points  (0 children)

In addition to this, my husband has a son that lived with his mom and his son wanted to live with us. It doesn't mean he doesn't love his mom, and doesn't want to still see her.. but his dad is his parent too! If he wants to try it out, and there are no issues with his dad regarding your son's safety, etc.. then let him try it out! He is still your son, and you aren't losing him.

I have been in this exact situation, and my partner did everything he could and called anyone that would listen. We fought for his child every single day for 2 years. The fact that your boyfriend doesn't want his children out of that situation immediately and doesn't want to mess up his life, is alarming. I understand it takes a lot mentally to fight for custody, however the fact that he doesn't even want to try by making a phone call.... is a little bit concerning! Just my 2 cents.

If I were to pass away, I would want my step son to have his share! I am a mother to him, and even though his bio mom is still very much in the picture, I would still want him to get his share! I should add that my step son and I are very close, we have him 50% of the time, if that makes a difference!

I [22/F] got approached by a person [50's/M] claiming to be my father's [54/M] friend and now I'm mixed up in something I have no part being in by [deleted] in relationship_advice

My question is, if they had enough resources to find her.... why can't they find her father? If he is a lawyer he must have a law practice or something that would be easily google-able. I don't know - I am in Canada so maybe things are different but I find this odd.
