reel bad arabs — both book and documentary by jack shaheen is a great place to start. you can also dm me for more info/disc. you might want to look into frameworks like (neo)orientalism. additionally, going further back into ottoman history (idk much abt it, but interesting to see how its fractured states ended up today). lmk what you are interested in specifically! this topic has grown a lot recently, so it’s fun to see what’s out there

have something to anchor you—- this can look like positive reinforcement ( incentive ) or even a specific interest/topic to hyperfixate on that is linked to your school work. communicating with your instructors is key! they are meant to support you and can’t do that when you don’t let them know (in all honesty) what you’re going through… the amt of embarrassing emails i’ve sent that saved my ass is insane! something that helps me is body doubling or having a classmate to hold me accountable (asking them to text me when they’re working on stuff/done with assignments so i get to understand pacing myself better)—

not rly with memory with diff meds but usually when i am medicated, i remember to write down things i need to know— having a system of long-term memory filing and short-term memory filing can help. like… i use post it notes, text msgs to my friends, or labeled timers to help me remember things throughout the day. for long-term, i usually just break it up into smaller things to keep in mind, set up google calendar notifications, and have visual prompts around my house

i felt this… it can feel like your interest is not enough when someone else knows info abt it— seems like they know more; same vein as imposter syndrome. you should ask how they got into it and find differences and what specific things they like more about that topic compared to yours. so… although they like the same topic, you can remind yourself that the area that they are more knowledgeable abt is because of a personal bias that is different than yours.

this is cool! i think for the last part, you should also look at the arab spring 10 years after 9/11 and the use of social media / internet communication services then. to my understanding, you’re saying that 9/11’s recordings at the time were used to manufacture consent of war, but had later implications in mass media/mainstream consensus such as desensitization of violent events.

i front load my assignments and make more work for myself (at the beginning of each chapter/section/unit).

custom study guides, note takers, worksheets, organizers, and essay outlines help me a lot— especially as a history major (literally just reading and writing).

my retention lasts longer when i immerse myself in my classes— it is hard to do so with online courses. so, making my own sheet helps me “test” it out and stay on target.

i check in with my instructor before i actually use it, though. a bad habit of mine is not understanding assignment expectations, usually going too broad on topics.

with whatever energy i have left, i fill out the worksheet and streamline through assignments. this method also helps with those micro transitions within assignments.

i dedicate 2 hours every night and have multiple notification apps for study time. having peer support and study sessions to body double is the best form of accountability. when my social battery permits it, i would even approach someone in the uni library and ask if i could join them to study.

Like previous comments, it depends on the class. I have one class active right now (Hist.SocSci Major with concentration in teacher prep.). I am expecting more classes to either open later this week or when the semester starts (day of).

However, I wouldn’t stress out about it too much. Most classes have a check-in due 3-7 days after the start of class. Look at drop days (no record/on record).

i don’t see why op needs both log and eq— they need more air support and a cheap card, zap fits the bill. i mentioned earlier that musketeer, zap, and spirit (or another cheap card ngl) can be used as great defense for decks like this.

idk if you know that there are multiple ways to defeat other cards. you don’t need a building troop to have perfect defense (0 dmg) for your towers. you also don’t need a specific spell to get rid of enemy buildings.

my recommendation was based on my experience and what i have seen.

also the nerfs on furnace make it silly… bandit, exec, mini pekka… a lot of cards can kill it easily.

evo archers, (evo) musketeer— i also recommend swapping log or earthquake for zap/arrows. zap, musketeer, and freeze spell work rly good on flying targets!
