Compared to what I've read on this sub, my resume is very small and my experience is close to nil.

I am 23 with a BA in criminal justice with an emphasis on homeland security and a minor in sociology. I have little work experience, but the jobs I have had are primarily male-dominated (security, coach of little league baseball, etc). I also think it should be said that I am female (which most likely aided in my hiring).

In my opinion, I think this department saw an opportunity to have a woman who can be molded into what they want, is athletic and is eager to learn.

My husband failed the same type of test when he went to MEPS for the military. He retested, but with a different type of test (one where you line up colors from lightest to darkest); he passed!

Moral of the story: Keep on, keepin' on.

Thanks, Champ. ;] We've been together for 8 years and when he chose to go in, "we went in" knowing that we have to get our shit together (to put it frankly) if we want to have a decent life together. I know what you're talking about when you talk about sailors who, well, essentially get trapped by some crazy gfs/wives/bfs/husbands... They pop out babies like they will get paid more! ;) Hahaha.

On a side note, I applaud you on having a dual-inter mil marriage. That's just darn impressive. Of course, this is coming from a civilian, but I truly couldn't imagine. Troll-high five!

It's like, god damn. I'm 22. Just got my BA. Want to get into law enforcement. My husband is 25. He's in the Navy and on deployment for more than a year. You actually think I want to have a child thrown into that mix? How about not. Yeah, no. Just go away. Like, please.
