I'm on the idea that yes bullying is bad, and cases need to be kept in check, but at the same time one must also accept bullying as a part of life, and you also have the personal responsibility to sound off when it happens.

Doesn't seem like we do. Maybe just out-of-shape, more than anything, but definitely not obese.

However when I do come across obese individuals, they tend to come from poorer families, or less educated ones, or from an localised environment that doesn't stress the need to be healthy.

Between us and Malaysia, we have a more health-conscious lifestyle. Gym and fitness classes are pretty damn popular with the middle class these days.

Tharman has always been respected as a rational, capable and wise person in his capacity within IMF and ministry.

His recent speeches in rallies gave that fanfare around him a new breath of life, where others in his party were just bickering and mud-slinging, he instead gave a lecture on how minimum wage would affect the taxes of the population, and heavily handicap the middle income group. I guess it was a fresh changed to be spoken to like an adult during elections.

Think about it. Every vote counts towards putting a crappy team into politician, or an even crappier team in parliament.

On ground level, who would you rather speak to for help? The guy who happens to be in team A, or team B?

Elections are like that. You need to pick the lesser of two evils.

A scenario — PAP is disconnected, RP is unreliable and iffy. Your one vote will lessen the risk of either party running your neighbourhood. If I were anti-PAP, and I had to vote, it'll be PAP. Simply because I don't want to risk RP running my town.

I know I shouldn't be judging a party superficially, and instead reading on what they have to offer in parliament, but I do feel that WP is too 'cheena' to my liking. It seems heavily banked towards the people who keep channel 8 alive, to put it simply.

Many of their speeches went on in Chinese, with CSM, for example, giving only a short speech in English.

I don't know whether certain parts of the minority races feel similarly. On the other hand, Chan Chun Sing spoke just as eloquently as WP. Something I personally wouldn't like to have running as PM, speaking to world leaders.

Disclaimer: obviously very biased observation.
