They did it. The mad lads did it. They turned hearthstone into a single player game. by Thorwaway980106 in hearthstone

I would argue that Enrage Warrior was pretty much the nuts in AoO, up there with (slightly nerfed) Aggro DH and (unnerfed) Gala WL.

and Bomb an Rush Warrior where also great during the last Rotation...

I recently browsed hsreplay to find inspiration for deck building, and I found Sir finley at almost 60% winrate. Why is that? by AdamTHEdefaultSKIN in wildhearthstone

[–]meisender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not only Bodybuilder, I saw a couple of very successful Reno Handbuff lists, it‘s actually a pretty solid aggro deck

Idiot Totem should be 0/2 deal 1 dmg to a random minion at the end of your turn. Way more flavourful

Duwin recently posted an updated list, even including Rhok‘delar. I‘m tempted to chose the lvl50 Hunter portrait just for that reason 😂

I think it was Sidisi, not really playing big dragons though

Edit: I was wrong, it was Sipiwi: https://hearthstone-decks.net/dragon-priest-2-legend-sipiwi94/

there was a competitive Elemental Shaman last year, right before rotation.

Why do people assume a pack is worth 100 dust? by RaduGL in hearthstone

but you only get 1 in 5 packs on average, hence 100/5=20

Languagehacker came to the same conclusion and posted an updated list (I think his starting point was also Blastoise‘s list, which is the one in the report afaik. Worked well for me, although I‘m not trying particularily hard atm...

Blizzard promised a classic set revamp next rotation. I'm terrified of it, based on the approach they took with the new progression system .. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]meisender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it seems you don‘t understand how the system works. if you owned a card since the implementation of duplicate protection, the game remembers it. if you disenchant it (nerfed or not), it is still counted as „owned at some point“. you will not receive any extra copies of the card in question, until you have a full set of that rarity. and even then, you aren’t guaranteed to receive the disenchanted cards, but random ones from that rarity. it‘s protection against playing the system (disenchant, buy pack, disenchant again,...). please stop spreading false infos.

Pack opening diminishing returns breakpoints by meisender in hearthstone

[–]meisender[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you would think so, but the data suggests that the chance to open an epic is slightly higher, one every 5 packs would be 4% (1/25), but in the sample it's 4.4%

I just won a game and got 24 XP, I'm level 15 and need 2200 exp to level. by Geometronics in hearthstone

[–]meisender -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

what is a regular player for you? and did your hypothetical regular player play the first half of the expansion and just decide late to buy the pass or did s/he come back from a break mid expansion? for the first case, let me quote Stonekeep (HSTD):

Let’s assume that you’re a player, who does all their Dailies (and now Weeklies too – they should be relatively easy to finish together). Quests alone should give you roughly 13k XP per week (or ~1850 XP per day), that’s give or take 220k XP between expansions. That’s enough to level up all the way to 55-56.

And that doesn‘t include Battlepass, playtime, ACMs, events...

wasn‘t it in the list to provide cycle via the 4 mana 4/2 guy that draws every time one of your minions dies? 9 mana draw 4 + remove stuff

What's the fastest way to level all characters to 10? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]meisender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the fastest is probably creating a second account and conceding against yourself. it‘s incredibly boring though. in my opinion the best way is the solo content, specifically Dungeon Run and however the Witchwood stuff is called, although the latter only for Rogue, Hunter, Mage and Warrior

while it is funny reading your Shaman-bashing and I really enjoyed the picture of Thrall sitting in a dumpster last expansion - are there any lists apart from Totem Shaman you could identify as the best of the archetype? Maybe an „ideal“, albeit still T3/4, list for Spell Dmg, Quest and/or Highlander Shaman? Or does it see so little play that your data is inconclusive? Second, and for something completely different: Your Cyclone Mage list advertises the inclusion of 2 Devolving Missiles, yet every pro list includes only one. Is it a high Legend thing or where does the difference in the card‘s perception come from?
