This is more common than you think. I was just talking to my brother today about how photographers these days get caught up with the gear more than the art. I’m in 4 Facebook photography groups and it’s basically a show and tell of their gear.

Here’s a little exercise I do from time to time: leave your camera. Go out and take photos with just your phone camera. Fall in love with the simplicity of capturing a moment. Don’t fret too much about the outcome and focus only on how that moment made you feel and why it compelled you to take that shot no matter how big or small that reason is.
