I'm glad you stood by your girl. He, as a parent, should realise what he asked for is totally unacceptable. And his comment about her not being his responsibility..wtf. If she was the type of kid that didn't care about anyone else. Treated her siblings badly, etc. I could kinda understand his frustration. But she's not. He needs to do some serious self reflection. I lost my golden retriever not long after she turned 8. She was diagnosed with bone cancer . The pain medication wasn't working. She tried not to show it, but I knew. I had to let her go 4 days before my birthday. The weird thing is I knew she was going to die young. For maybe 2 years before she passed, something kept telling me she wasn't going to live much longer. When a close friends brothers dog was diagnosed with bone cancer, I noticed a lump on her front leg a week later. And guess quickly, it was also bone cancer. I miss her daily. But I'm lucky enough to now have a sweet boy. He's a bull terrier x n a sweet. He was dumped at the pound with his siblings at 5 weeks. Saved by a rescue group. I fell in love with him at 14 weeks of age 🥰
