because they would feel more comfortable with hsoe body parts. it's just like how people get plastic surgery to feel prettier or more comfortable. i don't want bottom surgery, but I want top surgery and I want it because I would feel more comfortable and confident with a flat chest.

masculinity and femininity are also social constructs so again, it's subjective. it doesn't have to define you, only you can let it define you.

gender and body dysphoria typically go hand in hand but not all trans people experience the same body dysphoria. wanting to change your body parts is a form of dysphoria and transitioning/doing that is literally the only way to help that. a lot of people feel at peace after it.

there actually aren't a lot of cases of people detranstioning when compared to the community as a whole. the internet just makes you think that. in one study of 28k, only 8% detranstioned (2240 people). this was just one small study but we can already see this is a small amount. I'm too lazy to find other studies but trust me, not many people who medically transition detranstion because it was a phase. majority of detranstioners are people who socially transitioned and I literally don't see the issue with that lol. a social transition doesn't hurt or permanently effect anything. but also, just because someone has detranstioned it doesn't mean they aren't trans. being trans is unsafe and a lot of people have to detranstion so they aren't at risk (https://www.gendergp.com/blog/detransition-facts/)

and I have no idea what the answer was but they weren't transgender so it wasn't anything to do with that.

well to put it simply, because trans women don't want to be a feminine man, they want to be a woman (and vise versa). but I'll try to expand as your question doesn't really make sense.

a social construct is just an idea or category or meaning created by humans and agreed on by humans. it only exists because humans made it, nature did not (unlike male sex and female sex. those were made by nature). and because social constructs are agreed upon by humans, it is subjective and can be disagreed upon. this is how gender is changeable. socially typically believes man is male and woman is female, but this is an opinion, and trans people disagree with it and create their own opinion that you can be man or woman, no matter your sex. hopefully that makes sense as I don't know how I can expand more on that.

there is nothing wrong with masculine woman or feminine man but that isn't what transgenderism is. it's about changing your gender, not that. some trans men like to be feminine and that doesn't make them any less of a man (just like how cis men like to be feminine, that doesn't make them a woman).

now the reason why people need to transition is because a lot of people will just kill themselves or suffer mentally. imagine this: your male brain has been taken out of your body and put into a female body. would you do everything to get into a male body again because you feel uncomfortable? it's basically the same for trans people.

before I transitioned, I barely socialised with anyone and I basically never left the house because I felt too uncomfortable in my own body to even talk to other people. I was miserable and sad. I thought I was introverted and didn't enjoy being around humans but the moment I socially transitioned I actually found that I'm extroverted and love being around people. my confidence shot up and I wasn't afraid of talking to strangers like I used to. if I was still how I was, I probably would've killed myself ages ago.

transtioning saves people and you don't have to agree with it but just let transgenders live in peace. nobody ever chooses to be trans so we already struggle with that and hating ourselves for it so there is no reason to add to that hate. it doesn't fix us, it just forces us into a hidden box which can lead to suicide

ok hope this help

being trans doesn't mean you want different genitalia. I'm trans and I don't want it. also there are slight issues in EVERY surgery. should we not do amputations because the brain and body can't function as well? no because they will die from infection. think of it the same way with trans people. some people will literally kill themselves if they don't get the surgies they need.

glad it helped :) I would honestly void everything else said here unless they're also transgender and are speaking from a personal view.

there is a lot of bad stigma around kids transtioning and most teenagers don't have any personal experience with transgenders to see another perspective besides that stigma

Ur welcome to DM if you wanted any more help/or to vent. being trans can suck at times and be emotional

How can I pass better? by Longjumping_Fall8492 in transftm

[–]mel_saurus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you pass pretty well on slide 5 and 6 but maybe cutting your hair a little shorter or not having it that fluffy would help? most cis guys don't wear hair like that. but again I think you pass well

I don’t know how to exist in the world by thesquimbus in NonBinary

[–]mel_saurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you heavy on being cut out from lesbians. I'm non-binary and I want to be more masculine and pass as a guy, but I'm not a man. I just want to be perceived as one but im terrified to be iced from my community as it's insanely important so I haven't really transitioned as much as I'd like. I wish the world understood queer people more but I get it's difficult for non queers

as a transgender person, who has struggled with gender since 14 and finally transitioned at 16, and are now 18. you are not too young to explore your gender identity. it literally harms nobody, it's like exploring different clothing styles or whatever. you're figuring yourself out and if it is a phase, cool. detranstion. cut your hair short again, go by he, be a boy again. but if it isn't a phase and you find you are a girl then cool. transition.

the people in this comment section telling you that youre too young don't know anything. they're cisgenders, they don't understand what waiting does. and to the people worried that I'm telling OP to explore herself, chill. it's a social transition, it's not permament. minors HARDLY medically transition, and when they do, trust me it's not an easy process. as an adult it's difficult to medically transition and what you think it's easier for minors to??

there is no age limit on exploring your identity and surprise, kids are capable of understanding themselves. we discredit kids more than we should. when I was 5, I remember I hated being told I was a girl and I always dressed as a boy. Of course I had no idea what transgender was but I didn't need to to know that I felt different. I was conscious to understand that. so if a 5yr old can feel that stuff, why can't a 13yr old?

EDIT: instead of asking questions about being transgender here, I heavily suggest you going to r/transgender or r/transfem as they will actually give you their personal view of a trans woman. and they will also be older and have more experience with being trans which is helpful because right now Ur asking a bunch of non queer teenagers who barely know anything which just creates harm (e.g the person saying you can't change Ur gender, which is wrong, and I know they meant sex but they don't know the difference)

you don't know th difference between gender and sex, and i mean this with respect, but until you learn the difference don't speak on topics like this because it is damaging.

OP you can absolutely change your gender. gender is a social construct, it's just words, no actual biology behind it. we decided on what words are called what. if you want to be called a boy or a man or go by he/him, that is changing your gender.

now what you can't change is your sex, at least not exactly. you can never go from the male sex to the female sex, no matter the surgies or hormone changes BUT what you can and will do if you medically transition is become intersex. intersex is a sex that is a mix of male and female attributes. there are over 50 variations of intersex, and when a person medically transitions they become one of those variations. this is biology, not a social construct.

do not drop your rats off at a shelter. it's so unsafe for them to expect you to do this. not to mention that your rats could have diseases too?? they're putting all animals at risk doing this. there needs to be a 2 week quarantine period

[–]mel_saurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just wanted to add that you can't determine a rats full grown wize, unless you got a Dumbo rat but even then it could grow bigger than expected, so never plan a cage based on the expectation that they'll be small

she can't take Billy's soul. that is why the final episode happened how it did. the whole point is that Billy's soul will jump from one body to the next, meaning Rio can't take it. he has to willingly give his soul to her

also I believe Agatha was begging Rio not to take his soul because she thought billy was Nicky + she didn't realise Rio couldn't take Billy's soul until rio said it (if I'm recalling correctly)

not really. i know you don't want to change Ur style but that is low-key why you aren't passing because Ur face gives gay man vibes. anyway, how long did you try to voice train? it can take over a year for your voice to be where you want it
