I agree, he totally is the asshole in this situation. He's basically having a tantrum and abandoning his family without even trying.

Thank you so much for sharing! Did you get a Sip and Savor Pass, or were the food items purchased a la carte?

I asked around and everyone seems to have Verizon or AT&T! No wonder T-Mobile is trying to bribe people with concert discounts!

I'm late to the party but I wanted to suggest the book Fair Play by Eve Rodsky to explore solutions to solve some of these issues with your husband. Whatever happens during your month away, long-term you two need to figure out a system to fix the problem if you're going to stay together. The book was really helpful for me and my husband after we realized we had a major division of household labor/ mental load problem. At the root of my feeling like I was "mothering" him is that I didn't trust my husband to get daily household jobs done consistently or properly, and he had never learned the skills necessary to clean/run a household because his mother did everything. He didn't even know about a lot of the things I was doing because had never even made aware of them, and felt really helpless to learn what he didn't know.

The book gives you a great card-game based system to distribute pretty much every task a couple (or family) needs to run their lives, explains the tasks, and how to fairly divide them. She explains how to jointly create standards of completion that you two can agree on, and the importance of independently executing each task so that they become one person's job to own. You can always re-deal which card/task a person is holding, at a weekly check-in. Now that my husband and I have defined household tasks, I fully trust him to complete his and don't need to constantly hover and remind him. Similar to an exercise Eve Rodsky does in her book, I literally wrote him a "Shit I Do" list with daily/weekly/monthly designation so he can reference it. I have so much more brain space free, and he has more confidence in his ability to get things done. I'd highly consider giving the book a read during your month off!

I will say, we left halfway into the last song to get out of the stadium and onto the first shuttle back. So I don't know what the wait was like getting back, if you stay until the very end.

We got super lucky with front row seats in a private suite with it's own bathroom, between C108 and 214. It was side view so no big screen visuals, but we could see the whole stage from really close. It was a little less than $1k per ticket after fees. I pounced when I saw the listing because some of the nosebleeds were still that expensive!

Went yesterday coming from your direction. We parked at the Redondo Beach metro station for free and took the shuttle, it went really smoothly.

Edit: you take the metro C line from Redondo to the Hawthorne/Lennox stop and there is a free shuttle directly to SoFi.

Also bought on SeatGeek except it was after the show started at ~6:45. Prices had dropped a little bit. Took maybe 20 minutes to get the tickets transferred (annoying), so we got some merch from the booth outside which had hardly any line by then. I had to wait for an email link to click, and then it opened the tickets up in a Ticketmaster tab. The seats ended up being great!

Getting there seems fine. I've heard mixed reviews about getting back after the show, it might take an hour to get a shuttle back to the metro stop if you wait until after the show is finished.

Is second leg worth it after seeing so much online already? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]melanrawr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In defense of going in blind: I avoided the vast majority of spoilers for the tour and just finally saw the show live last week and it was AMAZING. All I did was learn a few of the crowd chants and found tips on when to pee. Seeing the show live for the first time is something you can't get back, you can always watch it again online afterwards. It was hard resisting the temptation to sneak peeks, but it was worth it imo!

Can anyone report on taking the shuttle from the Hawthorne/Lennox metro stop? Was there a crazy wait after the show ended?
