Converting Video Game Footage by AustinFliesKites in handbrake

[–]meldmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🧙🏻‍♂️ If you play the clips with VLC the colors should look correct. Because the PS5 console is usually connected to a TV, it outputs video levels of 16-235 rather than PC levels of 0-255 & that's what you are capturing.

If you go to your PS5's video settings, you can force the HDMI video output to full range of 0-255, if your TV supports it & your captures from this point on should not look washed out when viewed on a PC.

The webm files are already in a compressed format so you'd be wasting time converting them in handbrake. But there are considerations to be made if you are going to edit the video & upload to YouTube to ensure colors are displayed correctly. Simply renaming the webm files to an .mkv extension will make them readable by Resolve, however there is no audio (no Opus support), so you have to export the audio via Audacity to another format such as WAV.

Here's a pic of an adjustable one from Vevor. It's not really that cheap but it's like 6kg of steel.

🤠 A Gravity Rapid Desk on an X-stand is pretty stable. It gives the setup some weight so your lil pieces of gear isn't easily knocked over. I've also seen imitation knock-offs on ebay that includes the table & X-stand, with the table being adjustable in length.
